There were a few times that I thought about going there for Dim Sum or dinner, but their very sticky (dirty) chopsticks turned me away.
Visited again on Oct 11.
Noticeable improvement in the cleanliness of chopsticks.
Keep up the good work. - Order: Dinner

I don't think it's a perfect 10, but it is a very respectable establishment. The decor is reminiscent of Congee Wong, but the food quality is way better (and you pay for it).
The starting soup (tong) was nice and aromatic.
The Peking duck was very well prepared; the skin was crisp, and the meat itself was flavourful. The rest of the duck was made into a wonderful stir-fry and eaten with lettuce leaves. This was also well done, though they could have upped the spices in it, or offer some kind of sauce, as the sweetness of the Peking duck seems to make this second course a bit subdued.
The lobster was less exciting, almost bland. It's clearly not their specialty. For the seafood and veggie dish, the chinese broccoli that was used was very fresh and perfectly cooked, and the mushrooms absorbed all the flavours so well. The seafood (shrimp and squid) was generous and hearty, except they undercooked the squid. I tried the oyster in ginger and scallion hot pot, but was dissapointed. The oysters were very big and flavourful, but the sauce/soup itself left something to be desired. Hot pots at Sang Ho in Chinatown on Dundas st. have more of that distinctive hot pot aroma.
Service was good, for a Chinese Restaurant, though you can feel a little rushed, especially when there are swarms of people waiting to get a table.
The complimentary dessert was nice, but nothing special, especially for a restaurant of this calibre. It's not quite Sang Ho during its prime, but far better than Congee Wong in terms of quality.

Hau gaw and siu mai was very tasty, same with the fried shrimp dumplings. Sticky rice in lotus leaf is ok. Tasty crab e-fu noodles was a sunday special for only $14, definitely worth the price since you're getting a whole large crab with it =)
- Order: Shrimp dumplings(hau gaw), pork dumplings(siu mai), sticky rice w/meat wrapped in lotus leaf, fried shrimp dumpling w/ mayo, steamed chicken feet, Crab E-fu noodles

I've dined at this restaurant a number of times and enjoyed the food so much that I decided to invite my family to a Christmas Eve dinner there. The dinner combos they offer are well-balanced in that, overall, you're getting good dishes, and not a mix of good and crappy ones. On top of that, their prices are very reasonable given that the quality of the food is exceptionally good and comes out fast and hot. I recommend trying out there Ginger and onion oysters in hot pot; they make it really good at Markham Peking Restaurant and they're on special on Wednesdays for $7.99, I believe, which is almost half of the original price. But then again, you get about half the portion too. I definitely recommend this restaurant and I consider it a safe bet. You can rest assured that if you host a dinner there with your family and friends, the quality of the food won't let you down. [Reputation-Safe Assured Restaurant]

Our all-time favourite Chinese haunt. Never been disappointed. In upwards of a decade going there, the largest problem we ever had was one messed up order. They gave us slightly different vegetables. Only happened once.
- Order: 4 Main Courses (Beef, Pork, Shrimp, Noodle combos) 1 Hot & Sour Soup for Table
