Kostas Eatery

An overall excellent experience. I have heard a lot about this place from other people so thought would try it myself with some friends. Was not dissapointed at all.
The food was fresh and generous. You could tell that the souvlaki was homemade and the tzatziki out of this world. The owner came over and introduced himself and made sure that everything was okay. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants to eat real food.

Pass by all the time and see that there are never any patrons in the restaurant but decided to go in and see anyway. Was not told that calamari would take half hour while watching all the other customers who came in after me get their food first. Plastic left inside calamari so called to complain and never got an apology. Woman actually talked back and corrected me when i said i waited half an hour. She said i only waited 15 mins. DIdn't say sorry for the plastic, just said they must have overlooked it. Plus they gave mashed up hot dog bun. What was the point of that and shouldn't they be serving pita since they're greek? Will never be going back, prices are way too high. $11.95 for 4 pieces of squid and greek salad was all lettuce with two olives and a few chunks of tomatoes. Do not recommend!

Kostas is probably my favorite restaurant. It is family ran and the food is fresh and affordable. It is worth it

I've been to Kostas a few times and I have not been dissapointed. It is way better than those cookie cutter Mr. Greek Restaurants that you find everywhere.

Kostas is a friendly guy and will accomodate whatever you wish.

Friendly note to those who have never been to Greece, that Greek Salad you usually order isn't greek at all except for maybe the Feta on top. Next time you go to a Greek Restaurant like Costas ask for the Village Salad instead, it is much more authentic.

I highly reccoment this place if you like Greek food and are in Markham. If you're downtown, then stay there as there are way better places there.

Our gyro (take out) was burned to a crisp and the owner refused to take it back. Steer clear of it.

I heard that Kostas had fresh fish on the menu on weekends so I thought I would give it a try. I have been enjoying Kostas' souvlaki for over a year and he has out-done himself once again.
The salad was as fresh as you can get it - crisp, fresh lettuce, topped with olives and tomatoes and just the right amount of feta and oil. The sea bass was lightly battered and cooked to perfection. My wife really enjoyed the salmon.
The fresh fish is a great compliment to an already great menu.

didn't enjoy it at all. The meat was hard. My husband ordered the fish as we had never been here before and wanted a change and this is definately not the place to get fish. Save that for a fish expert.
