Great Khan Mongolian Grill

This is a buffet style restaurant with hot grill to cook your choice of combination noodles. This service is good and buffet selection is adequate for that price. Their food selection is unlike those of the common chinese buffet. More towards the mongolian or chui-chow traditions. It offers a different choice.

Just from the beginning the restaurant (in waterloo) gave off a dirty vibe. The floors were absolutely filthy. When I got up to go make my stir-fry, seeing the raw meat with flies buzzing around and just thinking how long that meat has been in the open for made me lose my appetite. Also, nothing looked clean in the grill area. When it came time for the chef to fry up my selection, he basically picked up the two wooden sticks from off the dirty ground. I would never go back. The food would have probably tasted better if I wasn't constantly thinking about the dirty conditions I was surrounded by.

Every time I'm in Markham, I try to stop in at the Mongolian Grill -- It's that good. If you're a fan of stir-fry, and like experimenting with cooking, this is the perfect place for you. You pick all of the ingredients (meats, vegetables, seafood, sauces/oils/etc.), and it's cooked on a large circular grill in-front of you. Since it's all you can eat, there's the opportunity for experimentation.

This place serves decent fresh food, but the only thing Mongolian about it is the round flat frying serface that the cooks use to fry up your concoction.

I like to try different things all the time and this place was a let down. It was no different than say something like Fire and Ice. There's nothing authentic Mongolian about this place.

I will not go there on my own volition, but if some people at work want to go, it's not like I'd kick up a fuss.

The place is clean and the atmosphere is fun. The staff is ok, but it's more or less serve yourself anyways.

If you aren't adventurous and like to feel like you're eating something different, go ahead and eat here.

I LOVE THE NOOLDES THEY ARE JUST TO DIE FOR WHEN I THINK OF THE NOODLES MY MOUTH IS WATERING, I LOVE THE IDEA OF GETTING YOUR OWN MEATS AND VEGATABLES FOR THE COOKS TO COOK. JUST LOVE THE NOODLES and desserts. everything is good but service.

The food was good at the (cooked) buffet table.
However while I was waiting in line at the cooking table to give it a try, and people tend to talk to each other in amazement, when it came time for the chef to cook my food, the stick rolled off the grill and landed on the floor and he just wiped it and continued cooking my meal. Have you seen how the floor looks at the cooking area? It was filthy. Let’s just say that I lost my appetite after that.

Three girls were very happy with this Remarkable Place , was fun to watch those warriors using swords too.

I thought the service was great. Very friendly and attentive. This place is a great alternative to Mandarin, Starwalk, China King Buffet. The decor is fantastic and upscale.

We have been going to this restaurant 2-3 times a week for well over one year. I love it because the ingredients are fresh, the meal is freshly prepared exactly to your tastes (the grill line) and you can pick and choose what you like. We are regulars now and they know what we want to drink and just bring it to us and take good care of us. Be careful of going too late though - some nights the grill can close early and you don't have enough time before they shut it down.

On that day I went there, it was busy. Had to wait 35+ minute to get a table. Food was not bad overall. The only interesting part to see is the 600F super flat grill and the chefs are amazing how the way they cook.
