George's Tastee Bakery & Deli

The jerk chicken is pretty nasty, it tastes like the jerk sauce is from a jar and too much sauce is dumped onto the chicken meat which is poor quality and overcooked so it tastes gummy.

For authentic jamaican jerk chicken go to Yummy Jerk on Highway 48 and Major Mack.

The patties and breads from the bakery portion are pretty fresh and tasty.

I go to George's at least once a week for lunch and I have never ever been dissapointed.

They have West Indian and "Canadian Food" there, but I always get one of the Jerks or Curries. The portions are out of this world and the taste is up there too.

The staff is very friendly and I still get a chuckle when I hear them talk as they are West Indian Chinese. I am not used to seeing someone that looks asian speak with a West Indian accent.

The amenities have a little bit to be desired, but those who have read some of my other reviews will know that this is the last thing I consider when I chose where to eat.

Try the Jerk Pork on rice with gravy; it's absolutely out of this world.

I absolutely reccomend this place for anyone looking to get some delicious, plentifull, and fast food.

George's Tastee is right up the street from me. I go there very often to pick up baked goods. It's not the best bakery around, but I go mainly out of convenience.

Some of the food is very good; their Jamaican patties are extremely high quality, and should be tasted if you get the opportunity. Their breads are always fresh and wholesome. I like those. But there are some things that are not so good. The cookies are certainly nothing special. The apple strudel is filled with some sort of weird custard-like substance, and as a result it tastes terrible.

One thing I really like about George's is the service. The people at the counter are very friendly and quick to fulfill your order. Overall, George's is a pretty decent place. Certainly the best in the area.
