Granita Cafe

Maybe we should have ordered the pizza instead of the chicken and pasta we ordered. I should have stayed home and opened up a jar of ragu instead. Frozen chicken cutlets would have been better. Very dissapointed. Waitress didn't even question why my dinner had been barely eaten. Atmosephere wasn't very warm. Waitress was friendly and cheerful.

I have been frequenting Granita for many years and it is always memorable with Fred, the owner. I can guarantee that he will find the time to visit your table and he always remembers your name. The pizza's are always perfect and he is very picky with his staff to ensure that the food is presentable and that the food arrives tot he table hot!

I will be dining at the Granita Cafe for my Sweet 16 Dinner. I have been to the Granita many times before and it is truly my favourite resaurant. The owner, Fred, always gives exceptional service and makes the best pizza I have ever tasted. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others because of its great tasting food and its friendly and cozy atmosphere. You can watch as the pizza is made in the wood burning oven and the taste is just as good as the smell!

We were recommended to try Granita as supposedly their pizza and food is great. The pizza was fairly good, and the other items panzarotti, pasta and veal are also okay but nothing to excite others about. What was most in need of improvement was the service. We asked for a simple substitution on one of the pizza's and ended up getting the complete opposite, when they tried to fix the order, we still did not get what we asked for. No cutlery or napkins were provided we had to ask for them, we asked for water for everyone, but only some of our party of six received it, which arrived luke warm and was never refilled once during the course of the meal. We also ate at different times, since the orders were not all ready at the same time. In the end this place needs a lot of improvement to warrant a second visit from me.

The pizza is fabulous. I have enjoyed it many times. (I would not recommend the pasta.)
