  • It was a friend's birthday this past weekend and he wanted to go to the Wortley Roadhouse for breakfast. It's not someone I have tried in the past 10 years but we figured that the patio was nice and it would be a decent meal. Breakfast should be hard to mess up after all.

Everyone ordered breakfast except one person who had onion rings. It took a long time to come, the inside was a little busy so we didn't really mind the wait.

Two people had ordered juice which tasted watered down, heavily. When we actually got our food, no one had their eggs cooked the way they had asked for (and we were sure everyone had the right plate).

Myself, I made the mistake of ordered steak and eggs (which is described in the menu as a new york strip). I seriously don't believe I got my new york strip. What I got was a thin, grey, cold piece of meat that was still ringed with a thick layer of fat. The steak was tough and tasteless and I never finished it.

Not long after we had started eating, our waitress came to the table with our bills. We were never asked if we would like more drinks, we were never asked how the food was or if we needed anything. We had all our bills sitting on the table before we were even close to being finished eating or drinking out first round.

Needless to say we will never be back.

  • Order: Breakfast, Beer, Juice

Are you sure you were eating at the Wortley Roadhouse, man? I've never experienced the service nor the food quality that you describe. Actually, the service there is probably close to the best in London.

  • We live within walking distance of the Wortley and make our way there periodically during the summer for a quick bite and a beer. The sweet potatoes fries are great and so are the chicken fingers and burgers. Just don't go there expecting the best meal of your life in a fancy environment -- it's not Moxies, it's a bar and haas bar food. The beer is cold and their is always the same faces every time we stop in. The only thing that would improve on the place is to get rid of the smoking on the patio. It is awful to want to eat outside without gagging on smoke and not having the choice. All in all -- a good place for bar food, relaxing, no pressure atmosphere, and cold beer.

  • Order: chicken burger, fries, chicken fingers, beer

  • After being recommended to the Wortley from a friend at work, me and the guys came down for a few drinks and something to eat. The food was delicious, the service was great too! Only thing was we wished the draught was a bit colder - other than that it was a great experience.

The odd thing is I recommended this place to one of my neighbors, only to find out that he waited 45 minutes for a breakfast that was greasy and overcooked. I felt a little embarrassed, although I stand with my review. Will be back again to try a breakfast for myself.

  • Order: Nachos, Wings, Poutine and pints of Bud Light

  • We have lived in the area for over 15 yrs and have only been to the Wortley 2 times now 3. We met some friends there to see the Blues band play and sing. We had a few drinks and some great apps, the music was great and the clientel was our age group which was very comfortable. Our over all visit was great and will certainly go back soon

  • Order: fish and chips, hamburg and fries, brusetta and a snack basket. We had beer and ceasars

  • On the advice of a friend, we decided last Sunday to head to the Wortley and listen to The Village Blues Band. The band was amazing and we ended up staying for something to eat as well. We ordered a variety of appetizers to snack on. They were all very tasty. The prices were good too, as the portions were generous. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The overall atmosphere of the place was great. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. What a relaxing and enjoyable place to spend a Sunday afternoon.

  • Order: Quesadillas, nachos, wings, and of course a few pitchers of cold beer.

  • Listen people, this is not a place for a gourmet meal. That said, if you live in the neighborhood, it's a great place to hang out and meet new people. Wortley Village has been rated one of the best places to live in Canada, and it's not by accident. I agree, the food isn't great, but it's a wonderful place to meet artsy, open-minded people in conservative london. The bartenders are fantastic. It's all about the socializing. Go somewhere else for food.

  • Order: nachos

  • Sunday morning, we sat on patio and had our order taken promptly enough. An hour later having seen no other food being delivered to any table inside or out we finally get our undercooked eggs (a running theme in the reviews for this place) and bacon which looked like it had been cooking for the hour wait. Steak was the one plus, although we were informed it was a nicer cut left over from a function the previous day. Having hardly eaten anything and complaining all food and drink was compted. Only go here to drink on the patio in summer.

  • Order: Steak and eggs, 3 breakfasts, side bacon

  • OMG...have you ever wondered what happed to all the booze hounds from high school. Well, you can find them here! The food is terrible. The service is snotty. And, the interior smells like your trunk when you left the empties in there on a hot summer day. Once was too many times. Stay away!

  • The food was perfect bar food to go with the beers, the server was cute and she made an effort to make us feel attended to. I really liked how after the meal was done we could go to the patio and smoke with our beers at a table with chairs.
