  • Third time there.

Really like Thai food but like this better.
Better food, better price and better service.
Tried the kimchi soup with mackeral this time.

Prefer noodles over rice but still like this better than my beloved Pad Thai with Tom Yum soup.

Excellent presentation. An excellent feed. And excellent side dishes thrown in.

    Better tea as well.

  • Went here with a friend and we both enjoyed our meals and had tons of leftovers, even though we were stuffed after. I will definitely be back, and will try something new on the interesting menu. The service was fine, can't complain, I was fed and watered!

  • The guy/girl sounds like one of those annyoing people that think the world owes him a free ride. I think entitlement is the word. You get a fly in your food? Big deal you baby, get over it, it happens everywhere but you're not gonna get a free meal in too many places.

This is one of our favourites, and we're there every weekend almost. Gam Ja Tang and stone pot BiBimBap are the best. Not sure what they do to the bibimbap but it has an awesome flavour. The plain white rice is even awesome, it's not soggy but soft and sticky.

Price is great too, you can eat full for $35 for two.

Worth a shot if you haven't tried it!

  • Absolutely the worst restaurant! There was a fly in my pork bone stew! We called the waitress over immediately and showed her what was in our food. She was fine, she apologized to us and offered us another one. We had a feeling it might all be from the same pot so we really didn't want it. We were all so disgusted we couldnt even eat the other dishes we had. Feeling so outrageously disgusted, we wanted to speak to the person in charge for a better solution. All we really wanted was a sincere apology from the owner and see what options she could give us. The waitress called her for us and and they were speaking in Korean for a bit but the owner just looked at us with squinted eyes from far away!! She refused to come speak to us. So we were nearly yelling at her about how disgusted we were and how unprofessional she was for not even coming to us and speaking to us. After not making eye contact with us or speaking to us for a whole 5 minutes do you know what she said to us? She walked over and took a picture of us and told us to get out and to never come back. What kind of restaurant management is that?!! I am absolutely furious! PEOPLE! DO NOT GO HERE! WE ARE NOT THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT'S FOUND A FLY IN THEIR FOOD. SOMEONE ELSE I KNOW THAT USED TO GO THERE REGULARLY FOUND A GIANT ANT IN THEIR FOOD LAST TIME THEY WENT. NEEDLESS TO SAY, THEY DO NOT GO THERE ANYMORE. PLUS, THEY DID NOT GET ANY COMPENSATION OR APOLOGY FROM THE OWNER AS WELL. I reaaaaaaaalllyyy hope that the health inspector will shut this restaurant down cuz they really aren't doing things very sanitary.

  • The Korean beef ribs(kalbi) were delicious, and the soups were hearty and warm. I especially liked the rice cake soup with dumplings(duk gook with mandoo). My husband loved the pork bone soup(gamjeh tang), which was very flavourful and spicy. Luckily they mentioned that we could order mild, med or hot. My brother in-law loved his kimchi soup(kimchi ji-geh), and found it to be full of kimchi and think cut pork.

The side dishes that accompanied the meal(kimchi, radish kimchi, marinated bean sprouts and spinach) were a nice addition. Apparently, this is how Korean's normally eat their dinners with sides of kimchi etc. shared amongst the table.

Along with the hot barley tea, dinner was fantastic. I never hesitate to bring our visiting friends and more adventurous foodies here.

    cheers,
    Jane & John

  • The most disspointing food experience ever.
I've been to a Korean barbecue before and I really liked it, but this was the first time I've had regular Korean food. Both my husband and I left so disappointed. He had the seafood and tofu stew which was served with rice. I had the beef and vegetable dish served with an egg on top. His dish was spicy yet bland, watery and had very very little seafood. My dish was just tasteless and had very little beef. I love all ethnic foods...from Ethiopian, Chinese, Japanese, sushi, Afghan, Polish, Latin to Indian....but either I'm not a fan of Korean or this restaurant just served terrible food. I really just don't know.
A lot of people are saying how inexpensive it is and I really didn't think it was so inexpensive. There were several dishes on the menu that seemed pretty basic like chicken and veggie - $17.00....so I would say the prices were average.
The waitress was pleasant, I felt the place was clean and the food came out quickly.
As for the taste of the food: Terrible

  • I believe that Manna Grill has come under new management, and this shows in the renovations to bee seen in the dining area, but more importantly in the new kitchen staff. The kitchen is now doing some fine work, and this is now probably the best Korean food in London.

True, the dining area is still no Moxies, but the entrees at Manna are at around or below 10$ instead of 20$+, so I have no complaints.

The gamja tang (literally potato stew, but actually pork bone stew) is great here, as is the dumpling soup. Most of the korean items are great as well, but those are my favorites!

They also provide a generous portion of kimchi with the meal, and actually provide gatduggi (radish kimchi) which is hard to find!

Just go, you will enjoy~ and it's a great value

  • Excellent food, reasonably priced. The octopus dish is delicious. The service is always a little slow - there's usually only one server, even when it's busy. The place also needs to be renovated.

  • This is one of my favorite restaurnt in London. Reasonable pirce and great diversity of traditional Korean and some Japanese food. Also, all employees are very kind and make you feel like being at home. Newly renovation has been made and displayed wall photograps taken in Nova Scotia.
