Maggie's Supper & Jazz Club

I was supposed to have dinner at Maggie's last Friday night, one of a group of 25 celebrating a friend's 50th birthday. I did get a few chunks of not so fresh bread and a couple of crackers with warm brie and a lovely dip, but that was it. When I first arrived, I wanted to order an appetiser, but our waiter said he'd bring us bread instead, it would be easier on the kitchen if he waited to take all of orders at once, so I waited, and in the end, waited a very long time for nothing... I did get to place my order along with everyone else, but the food never came... When we noticed that the three other tables in our group were almost finished eating, but we were yet to be served, we asked our waiter... and were told that they had a very small kitchen, but our food would be out in less than 5 min... about 10 min later we asked another waiter, and were again rudely put off, as if it was out fault they hadn't served us yet. 5 minutes later, still no food, we asked to speak to the owner... who was angry with us for complaining, offered us a free drink while we waited - or to cancel our meals. By this time, our whole group was upset, especially the birthday girl, not a pleasant way to be ending what started out as a lovely evening. When I stepped our for a quick smote, the owner made the evening even more embarrassing, - called out to me loud enough for everyone at the bar to hear "you have to at least pay for your drinks". My bag was still hanging on the back of my chari, I wasn't leaving.

Fortunately, when I returned, a waiter quietly told me that the drinks would be on the house, there would be no bill.

It seems that if you want a good meal at Maggie's, and at least courteous treatment from the statt, you need to be part of the in-crown. I won't go back... even for the music.

We had been to this restaurant prior, but will never be back again, as we were treated like second class citizens. The waiter mislead us, indicating that we were order blackend cod, but it was actually black cod that had no flavour whatsoever. Therefore, the meal was sent back by the two that ordered this, and it was not accepted in a pleasant manner whatsoever. The owner, as mentioned in a previous review definitely needs anger management class, let alone customer service 101.

Always enjoyed the music. The piano player is the best around. Food was good. Service always amazing.

Maggies Jazz and Supper Club is more than just high end french fusion dinner... its an experience. The chef fuses traditional favourites with interesting and superb tastes.
Add the nightly live jazz , filling for all of your senses. The most romantic venue in all of London, if I could give it 5 stars I would.

The food, though presented well, definitely didn't taste that well. In fact I felt sick afterward. A friend of mine returned his steak twice as it wasn't up to par. The server was amazing, she was very patient and polite, however the owner is another story. He needs to take customer service 101 again, that's for sure. The entertainment was wonderful and the atmosphere is quite nice. I would only come back here if someone I cared for was preforming.

Do not go to this restaurant if you are hungry. I walked out hungry for more food. The chicken was tiny, although it was good, it was not filling and it came with about 4 baby potatoes that were not cooked. I could have got better value for my dollar at a french fry stand .

Food was excellent, service very friendly and live entertainment was great! We came away thinking the place is just awesome value for money. Cocktails are pricey but the food/entertainment combo is well worth the prices. Will definetly be back.

I always enjoy eating at Maggie's and this night was no exception. The service was excellent and the food very good. I will definitely be back.

As usual, we had a very enjoyable dining experience at Maggie's. Friendly, attentive service, great atmosphere, food nicely presented and delicious. Will definitely be back.

And so i was wondering why you do not always have live music every night, it is called JAZZ CLUB. i was very dissapointed about that.
