Green Tea Japanese Cuisine

We went to Green Tea today (after finding that all other sushi restaurants were closed on Sundays) - having eaten in handful of sushi restaurants I have to say that this was my least favourite. While the service was good (and the servers were very attentive and friendly) and fast, my boyfriend and I were quite disappointed with the quality of the sushi itself. It felt as though there was something missing in terms of flavour. The Arctic roll was slimy and not pleasant at all (we both had a hard time swallowing it, and we're not very picky eaters), thank goodness it only came in three pieces and not six! The shrimp tempura was mediocre as well. The tempura batter itself was less tasty than what I am used to.

Also, the menu was limited in terms of what I am accustomed to, although there is a decent selection.

The best part of our dining experience was the service, the green tea ice cream and the custard buns. Yum!

Other than that, Green Tea is far too overpriced for the quality of their sushi.

When we want sushi we come here. We always get the all you can eat buffet where they make everything you order fresh. The food is outstanding and the price is great. It is always fresh and the waiters are polite and helpful despit their limited english. Sometimes the t.v. can be a drawback but most often it's okay. You can't miss if you want a great dinnig experience.

Green tea is a good place o go for sushi in london. The sashimi is HUGE i love huge pieces. Most sushi places fill your glass with pop but this place has cans which is good. the sushi had a little to much rice on it but it was acceptable.

Now, the tempura was ok but the octopus we ordered was BLACK, i guess they didnt change their oil. It was disgusting. We also ordered spring rolls and they were also kind of brown when they should be a golden yellow.

the waitresses were very nice and polite.

The deep fried custard buns were fantastic. the handrolls were very good. Most of the food was very good minus the deep fried stuff.

i would definitely go back here.

Had the all you can eat. For the most part I was satisfied with the food. Spicy tuna maki and chicken teriyaki was the highlight of the meal. Very busy in there in the evening but the servers were pretty good at having parts of the order arriving so that were left without or waiting. I would go again.

Loved it! We both had the all you can eat -- it felt like dim sum, where everything was served in small dishes and you can try a little of everything. Quality was great - food was fresh. Absolutely yummy!! If you're going to go though, I recommend just spending the $22 on the all you can eat -- much better value than ordering off of the menu. That even includes tea, dessert and pop!!

We ordered a $17.50 plate, and I can't say it was filling. We also tried the London roll. It was SO SMALL! It was 4 tiny pieces and it cost around $7. The food tasted decent, it just wasn't worth it.

They had all-you-can-eat going on as well, and it was $25 (too pricey for me). Mind you, on the table, there was a paper saying that all-you-can-eat is $20.99. That's questionable.

A lot of people below have complained about the service, and I must say that in the 3 times I've gone to Green Tea, I've never had a problem; the staff was always friendly.

This place is great for a casual dining experience or for take-out or delivery. Fast service and friendly staff, and most importantly, amazing sushi! I LOVE the Dynamite and Spider rolls. The sushi pizza is also a favourite. The pad thai wasn't my favourite, but everything else = fantastic!

Green Tea Japanese Cuisine has become a favourite of our business group and our families. Food quality is the most important reason - it is by far and away the best in London. We love to try everything on the menu (which keeps being added to), from sashimi to sushi pizza to terrayaki steak to green tea ice cream - all for one amazing low price! Highly recommended.

we arrive at around 2.30 and the place was pretty empty. despite that no one would come and take our order. we waited and waited and finally our waitress came. several times throughout ordering she would take out her cell phone and start texting!!! and then ask us to repeat our order. the food was okay. nothing special and it took forever to get it.

Great food, fresh sashimi cool atmosphere overall great experience.

Service was great, even taught me about the food.
