Went here and had the hot roast beef sandwich with gravy and fries. The food tasted good and was tasty.
I would go here for beer and pub food. Not the place for a formal dinner. - Order: Beef sandwich

If you're looking for a place with no other concerns but cheap beer, you've found THE PLACE. However, basically this is just a noisy neighborhood bar, particularly so on Friday nights when they have extremely loud live music. The live music might start at 10pm, but that's not a certainty. Also, live groups may perform other days unpredictably, most with the same merits. (Occasionally, they DO get a good performer - or at least they used to - but it's a shock anymore when it happens.)
The Dawghouse USED TO BE an establishment with very high regard for value, service and customer satisfaction. Lately (2010) it has fallen into the slumps.. Frequently, one has to chase down a wait staff person to get service even though the restaurant does not appear busy.
The menu has gone through recent revisions leaving the customer feeling "I''ve-got-a-HEAP-of-stuff-but-is-it-really-a-meal". Friends of mine recently tried the breakfast, and even this was mostly a greasy, unpalatable repas. And my partner and I have experienced meals served on disgustingly dirty plates on two occasions.
We used to be a regulars at the Dawghouse, up till the summer of 2010. And we went back one more time recently to see if we'd just had one bad experience. But we were again very disappointed. If you're looking for an enjoyable, relaxing evening, nice food, considerate service, DINE ELSEWHERE.
Frankly, you couldn't pay me enough to return to this establishment.
- Order: Me - Pot roast dinner, beer. My partner - meatloaf, wine.

More "Roadhouse" than "Pub & Eatery", I have no complaints about the Dawghouse, other than the spelling on the sign.
The prices, for offerings similar to most other run-of-the-mill eateries, were lower than most, and the service was quick enough. My empty beer glass was promptly acknowledged and swiftly exchanged.
A television at every booth isn't a requirement during my dining-out experience, but indulging one's basest childhood desire is fun if you're going to shell out for dinner anyway. More than one diner seemed to appreciate that retreating from domestic tedium for free pay-per-view hockey, and perhaps a more comely waitress than at home, was worth a night in the doghouse after going to the Dawghouse.
My partner's fish and chips were "kinda gross", as they seemed to advertise, by smell, more fish than chips. Since the Atlantic Ocean does not flow past the back door of the restaurant, I consider this evaluation fait accompli, but wish to include it here to be thorough.
For food not delivered by your own comely waitress (i.e someone who will charge for the privilege), that's realistically priced, or if you want to expand the membership of your hockey/football/etc pool beyond those forced to eat with you at your dining room table/in front of the TV, Dawghouse is a solid choice.

Bill and his staff deliver superb food, friendly service and a positively inviting atmosphere every time. Try the wings as they are excellent! I have been a few times and The Dawghouse hires excellent bands and also some fun NFL football nights.

we ordered the nachos with chicken and when we got them, there were way to many nacho chips and very little of cheese, tomatoes and chicken.
One other time my daughter had ordered chicken fajitas for take out and when she brought them home, they weren't tasty at all.
We'll visit again but only for drinks - Order: chicken nachos

We had a great lunch, food was prompt and very tastey, server was friendly, polite and really courteous. First time ever eating there and it was nice to have a good meal in an hour with a friend on her lunch break. I'd definitely recommend this place.

OK, I'm an on-again, off-again regular at this place. My girlfriend and I sit at the booths with the TV's, play NTN, watch our favorite TV shows, and drink for an hour or so before ordering.
The wait staff is great, super nice and I've never had bad service in over 100 visits.
I've had the entire menu, and I'll bestow on you my wisdom here.
Things to order:
Soup - Always amazing
Burger(s) - good size, good quality
Smothered Penne - mmmmThings to avoid:
Chili - Maybe it's just me, but I prefer Tim Horton's
Shrimp & Clam LInguine - This is the only item I've ever had to take back. It tasted rotten.
Wings - mediocre. go next door to Pizza Tonite for some serious wings
Double Dipper - They need to take this POS off the menu.Other than that, everything else ranges from OK to pretty good. Their daily specials are decent, and aside from an overhaul to their menu, this place rocks!

My wife and I visited the Dawghouse mother's day for a very light meal. We each ordered a bowl of French onion soup, we shared an order of onion rings and we both had one pint of draft beer. The cost of two bowls of soup?? Aparently at the dawghouse 2 bowls of soup costs $26. To add insult to injury the service was aweful at best. We even had to wait, with empty glasses for 20 minutes to get our outrages bill. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone with more money then brains.
