The Fish Hut

This restaurant was recommend by family members. My husband ( a fish and chips aficionado) declared his meal to be the best ever. I had the shrimp and chips special and enjoyed it thoroughly. The coffee was delicious and the service was prompt and friendly. We will definitely return.

Overly battered fish, very greasy. I know it's fried fish, but the oil they use is either animal fat or hydrogenated oil, as when it cools down, it turns into a white sludge. It might taste good, but it ain't good for you.

I came in because a friend recommended it to me. I was happy to find that it was as delicious as my friend claimed. The portion was enough to fill me up and then some. The price was a lot better than some other places and the server was friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a great experience. I will definitely be back.

are you people kidding? This place does not deserve kudos for good fish'n'chips. We ordered for pickup because we heard they were good, and we had a coupon. What we got was SO GREASY that it LEAKED out of the closed boxes in the paper bag and left a sopping disgusting PUDDLE on my car seat. No kidding - there was so much oil drenched on that food it was like everything was wet.

The food wasn't *bad*. I ate lots of it, and felt satisfied afterwards. But it wasn't worth rating higher than a 5.

let's face it - in Kitchener there are not very many places to get take-out F'n'C. Saying this is the best in K-W means our selection in K-W is wretched and our expectations are pitifully low.

I consider myself a great fan of Fish and Chips and order them often at restaurants...but I can honestly say that I have rarely found any I have enjoyed as much as the Haddock and chips at the Fish Hut. Crispy light batter and hand cut fries which is complimented by a home made coleslaw and tarter sauce. I take friends there often and all have now made it a once a week tradition. When all you serve is Fish and Chips and your restaurant does not smell fishy or greasy tends to tell me that everything is clean and fresh...
Simple decore but the best fish in town. I have had the Halibut and white fish....but my money is on the Haddock....

The Fish and Chips were delicious that I ordered. I am disappointed the prices get jacked every month. A couple years ago fries were a buck and gravy was 10 cents. Explain the price increase to almost three dollars for that combination. Cmon, potatoes are
