New to Kitchener
Saw the lineups and thought the food must be great.
Disappointed!
Lots of food ,but gravy was oversalted and over thickened.
Vegies were mixture of carrot, broccoli, califlower and something else. Not cooked properly.
Mashed potatoes were lumpy and tasted terrible.
Bread was a flat soggy something under the pattie. Will not go back

I had been intrigued by this place for years, but never went because there was always a lineup stretching outside. I took that as a good sign.
This is a good family restaurant. Good, but unspectacular. The portions are huge, the service is good and the decor is fine.
I am not sure that it is worth the lineup, but it offers good value for your money.

I've eaten here several times, and until today no issues.
Usually the portions are overly generous, so today I was really hungry and looking forward a filling meal.
The french toast must have been cooked in advance as it was served within two minutes of ordering, however it was only moderately warm and somewhat tough. And the pieces were small.
The side of sausage was overcooked (why do they deep fry it?) so I couldn't finish it, and ended up leaving a bit hungry (probably better for the old waist line but sure not what I was expecting.)
No refill on the coffee was offered.
When the server walked by and asked the perfunctory "how is your meal"? She continued on her way before I could respond.
I'll probably go back but it is disappointing to see the bloom come off the rose.Or maybe my expectations are overly high as the bar was set very high on my former visits.

This has become a family favourite. My boyfriend and I have been here twice so far and have been very impressed with the portion sizes, as well as the service. The waitresses have been very pleasant both times and the food has been great. We will definitely be back!

Can't understand why people line-up to eat at this place.
This is yet another on the growing list of anyway of US-style retsaurants, where flavour doesn't count, as long as the serving size is large.
Lasagna - huge portion, none of it palatable.
Hot Liver sandwich - liver accepatable, bread conspicuouly absent. Lots of partially-fried onions, anyway. - Order: Lasagna, Hot liver sandwich

I have heard so much about this place so thought I would give it a try. The Hostess who sat us was unfriendly and very rude. If I owed this place, I would fire her. so we started off with a negative note. The service was ok and the food was good (did not like the frozen fried potatoes)
With so many other great places in this area, I doubt very much if we will go back. - Order: Breakfast special (eggs, ham, sausage, bacon)

The sandwich was incredible soggy. Bread on bottom was soaked. They must store the beef in the beef dip and just slop it on.
While we were there the staff was making a lot of racket cleaning the wood blinds at the table across from ours. The restaurant was only 10% full, there was no reason to put us beside that.
Twice while we were eating our meal the waitress interupted. The first was to ask us to hand her the ketchup and the second time she came back she asked us to pass her the vineagar. Apparently she had some condiment filling emergency that couldn't wait until we had finished. Remember the restaurant was quite empty and this was at 4:00 in the afternoon.
Unproffesional. We won't be back. - Order: Chicken platter - beef sandwich

Service was lacking. Had no refills on soft drinks, weren't even asked. I ordered a pizza that tasted like store quality, example a frozen McCains. It was bland, tasteless and just warm. My friend ordered souvlaki, which looked good and he said was good!
It's disappointing overall, as I have been there a few times and it was decent. If you're going to serve store quality food, remove it from the menu. Why bother?
Doubt I will go back.
I didn't bring any of the issues up with anyone, as I thought it was a 9,95$ menu item. It's hardly worth the effort. The effort next time will be to choose another place to eat. You go to some places and you can barely finish you pop and they have another one there. The waiter passed the table 4 times and didn't pick up on the empty glass. Perhaps thats a direction from management not to, in order to max the profit on a $1,90 item. Should I have to ask for it to be refilled, no... I should have been asked and I could have said no. - Order: pizza, souvlaki

The Caesar salad was a bit on the oily side, but very tasty. New York Sirloin, well-done, a tad gristly, vegetables overcooked and no nutritional value remaining, standard baked potato. Coffee and chocolate cream pie very good. Server, Shiloh, very attentive but not to the point of being bothersome; I would be happy to be served by her again

Went tonight based on the reviews of this site, and was not disappointed. Shiloh (our waitress) was friendly, attentive and prompt. We ordered food, and before the kids were done their crosswords, the food arrived. All of us enjoyed what we could eat, and the rest came home in doggie bags. Some of the best ribs I've ever eaten. Kids chicken fingers were heavily battered, but tasted to me just like KFC, which was good, and were made from real chicken breasts, not processed chicken. We didn't even have room for dessert. For two adults and two kids we walked out for 57.00, try that at Montana's! We will be back for more ribs!
- Order: ribs, cattleman's chicken, kids chicken fingers
