Atmosphere was very eclectic to say the least. Where we were sitting, the waitress could not see us, which made it very hard to receive service

Lots of random people eating alone. Not my kind of place at all.

My friend went to the bathroom and he said it smelled like dirty cats and pee as I was about to take a bit of Wonton!

Wonton soup was very salty and came with beef broth. I did not eat it. My friend ate all of his though.

Lunch came very quickly. Chicken balls were good…rice could be better. But not horrible. We also ordered a side of Jar Doo Chicken wings. The chicken wings were huge! But again salty! The Soya souse was thick.

Paid $13.00 each which was a rip off. She charged us $6.00 too much!…….should have went to Ye’s all you can eat! This place is crap!

Food was very respectable. Many Chinese restaurants in the area skimp on quality but this was good with no flaws. Service could have been better (didn't check how things were; never brought glass of water for third person).

I really enjoyed the lemon chicken i ordered, however i did feel the food was rather standard for any chinese restaurant, nothing really caught my eye or was better than any other restaurant, my roommate enjoyed his meal but couldnt finish all of it, said he liked it but just couldnt eat it all, ordered a doggy bag to take it home and used it for lunch the next day

I have eaten there more than once and find the quantities to be large, the food is fresh, and prices are very reasonable. But... It could use more flavour. The sauces are bland or too sweet. The breading is too heavy and sometimes not cooked enough.

Depending on what you order you could have a good experience or a bad one. I know people who,like those above think this place is the best there is. I guess "beauty" is in the eyes of the beholder.

I have tried many Chinese restaurants in Kitchener and I must say this is the best I have come across so far! I ordered the full order above and the price came out to $37.00 for all that food! Plus their food is fantastic and their portions are big enough that we have leftovers for another dinner and even lunch! The Chicken Balls have lots of chicken and are not overly greasy, the Guy Dings are both delicious so we always order the mild one for myself and the spicy one for my boyfriend. The fried rice is always good too, never dry and bland like many places make it! I was appalled by the review below me...If you think that Manchu Wok or the place in Conestoga Mall is quality Chinese food, your review doesn't mean much! Those places serve cheap fat filled meats and chicken balls without chicken that are not appealing to anyone who enjoys quality Chinese food!

I have to say that I was disappointed by the atmosphere/environment and food . I went there with high hope because the high score that it got here.

#1 dish: 5.95+ tax (it's on the today special menu)
The chicken balls has quite a bit of flour around it which is normal. The ingredient of the egg roll is bean sprout only(at least that's the only thing I saw.)
#2 dish: 7.99+tax (I think)
beef: kinda tough
green pepper:the size is too big
carrot: they had some kind of nice pattern around the edge but it's also a bit too big.
Sauce: ok; could be much better

Environment: no atmosphere. the place seems very old but the dinning area was clean.

Cashier: speaks fluent English. Friendly.

We were there between 8:30-9:15pm.
There was only one customer there who ordered take out. We were the only customers there.

We paid about 18-20 dollars included tips.
We left before we finish the food and went to look for a better Chinese restaurant.

A lot of restaurants in Kitchener-Waterloo are better than this one. The price may be the same or just one dollars or two dollars higher, but at least it's worth it. I rather go to Bor Borne Chicken in Conestoga Mall, China Legend and Mike's in UW Plaza, Manchuwork in Fairview Mall. (I may have misspelled the restaurants' name). I did not regret spending the money there. At least I know that I will not come back again.

This was my first time into this restaurant, a friend of mine introduce me to this place that i never thought existed, just because it's not that noticable when driving on victoria. I went in for the lunch special that hey have from monday to friday. Man i'd have to say the qulaity and the quantity of the foods wasn't what i have expected, it was soo amazing. The udon "which is a japanese noodle," was very well cook not too soft and not too hard. The chicken was also very good, it wasn't the tofu taste that people were talking about, i'm sure they have made some adjustments. Well to wrap this up, i'd come back again for the lunch special it's soo cheap i thought it was a free meal!
