First of all, they closed it. Big mistake.
The food is decent, nothing special, not very healthy, although they tried to change up the menu to better suite our economy and the Bloomin' Onion was sooo good.
I love Australia the atmosphere made me really happy and the booths were neat.
Never had trouble here.
I'll miss it.

This place is classy and the waitress's and waiters are nice and helpful.. I can't believe people would give bad reviews its TOTALY worth the money EVERY TIME I have been there i have thought its worth it.. plus i live in toronto now and i travel all the way to kitchener just to go to the same outback!!... This is by far my favorite place to eat!!!

Our server was personable but charged us for three drinks instead of two. Ordinarily, I'd say that that was a mistake but the higher price happened to almost match the value of the coupon that I used (coincidence? I think not.). My wife's filet needed to be sent back because it was rare rather than medium-well. Both issues were taken care of quickly and without issue (but what if I hadn't checked the bill?). The Filet was good but did not seem to be worth $30. The Chicken would have been very lonely on the plate if I hadn't ordered a side dish (so it's definitely overpriced). Not worth the price.

We are regular customers at Outback Steakhouse and had never heard of these restaurantica reviews before.
I think it's important to keep in mind that this restaurant has menu changes, offering variety, and staff changes aswell. The Kitchener Outback employees that we have enjoyed are a good mix of long term employees and students who come and go. All of whom have been energitic, fun and enjoy what they do.
Outback's food is always the best quality and made fresh that is why my wife and I eat there 2-3 times a week. - Order: variety is good but the bloomin onion and chocolate thunder are awsome

Service was excellent. We felt rushed the entire time, just as we are finishing a starter they are bringing dinner. Steak was tough and not cooked to what we had asked for. There was fatty deposits that we needed to cut away. Save your money or pay a bit more and go to a steak restaurant that is not a chain.

My husband and I came to the Kitchener Outback last month while visiting some friends in the area and had the same waitress as mentioned above, Maia. We had a negative experience, however - the waitress' manner of hovering was unsettling and I felt pressured to eat my meal quickly. She always seemed to be joining in on the conversation and adding odd comments. I would have far more enjoyed to eat our meal in peace. We won't be going back there again.

The food was quite good and the waitress was very attentive for all but a 15 minute time-span, which unfortunately coincided with when I wanted a refill.
The prime rib was very good, but was cooked more fully than I would have expected for a medium-rare - this may be my inexperience however. The veggies were cooked enough (a pet peeve of mine is raw cooked veggies). The salad was more than your standard plain lettuce with a nice vinegrette dressing.
Everyone else was very happy with their food and the service...

We were somewhat reluctant to go to this restaurant because we read the previous reviews. However we decided to give it a try because we like the Bloomin' Onion (we had it some years ago at the Outback in Mississauga). The servers were polite and prompt, the food was good, the small issue with my husband's meal, which was not exacly what he wanted, got sorted out quickly. Overall, a good experience! We will visit again.

I took my girlfriend out for her birthday around 5pm and I was astounded at the terrible service we recieved. It seems we had three servers walking by us and I had to ask for a waiter and wait till they all stopped talking among themselves to get a glass of water. This went on the entire meal- no one came by and asked if we needed anything and no one asked if we wanted dessert etc. The bad stuff list is too long to put here. I feel ripped off for $100. I will NEVER go back!

I gave them a 3 because the wine was good. I have visited The Outback many times but this was the first and last time at the Kitchener. Half our party ordered prime rib which didn't really look like beef at all, maybe more like raw veal. I ordered the Filet medalions. They were what you would expect from M&M Meats. All in all, I think this location could hurt the rep of all the others.
