I was visiting from out of town this week, and I decided to eat at Niko Niko after reading overall positive reviews for the restaurant on this site. If people actually like this place enough to give it good reviews, I'm scared to eat at some of the less popular sushi restaurants in the city. The rolls weren't necessarily bad, there was just an extreme lack of variety (all the rolls have more or less the same ingredients). Each of the rolls we ordered had an unidentifiable orange seafood-ish glop on top, and the rolls were horribly put together. The sushi pieces fell apart as soon as you tried to pick them up - messy and annoying. This place is extremely mediocre. I definitely won't be back.

I've been to Niko Niko a bunch of times. The food is always great and the prices are fantastic for what you're getting.
I had never had "hot" sushi before my first visit to Niko's, and I was a bit taken aback when the Volcano roll arrived at our table - but it's incredible. One of my favourite's that I keep going back to.
The service is hit or miss. Sometimes you feel like you're the only people in there (even when you're not), and others you feel like you're being avoided. It can often be difficult to get exactly what you want as well, particularly if you are wanting to get a variety of sushi.
But all in all, an excellent sushi place right in downtown Kitchener.

A very nice sushi place with nice decorations. It has a very quiet and calm atmosphere. Servers were kind but not very warming. Sushi took a while, but possibly worth the wait. Food was artistically placed and looked very pretty and appetizing. Overall, a very good sushi place for K-W.

The sushi here is always very good. The service is generally fine, and the prices aren't bad. My big complaint is that the service, though friendly, can be very slow, especially during busy lunches. Slower is to be expected, but slow (50 minutes) is unacceptable. However, they have some of the best sushi in town.

This was my first visit to Niko Niko as well as my brother but the other two diners we were there with ( my mom and her friend) they had been there before.
my tea was never empty , the salad and miso soup were to die for , and we all picked off each others sushi and noodles.
My favorite was the niko niko .
I can't wait to go back for some more sushi ! - Order: Niko Niko x2 ,Hawiian , egg noodles

My boyfriend and I have been going here since the place first open and we have never been disappointed. Mind you, we only order the maki rolls because they make them so well and the sushi pizza is amazing !
Someone made a comment on here that there is better sushi in this town. I'd like to know where? I have been to sakura, ye's , yummyaki's, taka on bleams , mr. sushi and seoul soul . My least favourites were sakura and seoul soul because they are way over priced , service was not very good, fish was not super fresh and all was uninspired.

This was our second visit to this restaurant, and are yet to be disappointed. The food was great, quick and kind service (never had an empty cup of tea!) and great atmosphere. The tempura and bento box is an excellent choice for first time visitors as it provides a variety of items (salad and miso soup included). Both rolls were delicious and portions were generous. As for the rainbow rolls, the fish tasted fresh and came with delicious sushi (as it was the special roll of the day). Overall excellent experience, will visit again!

This is a fantastic little sushi restaurant, good food, good service, and even take-out service is superb! Great portions, the value for the dollar is excellent, as rolls come with Miso soup and salad.
I would highly recommend this restaurant and have even made it a regular take-out venue. - Order: Niko Niko roll, Spicy Salmon roll

The best sushi in K-W. The salad has too much dressing, but the miso soup is tasty.
