Jolenes Family Restaurant

Waitress wasn't overly personable or attentive but not horrible ("Below Average" rating is appropriate). I had 1 pc fish and chips which had the smallest fish piece I've ever seen at a restaurant. The fries were cooked from frozen. Others at the table had the burger (seemed to be good), perogies (also seemed to be good), and a chicken sandwich.

We used to eat at Jolenes frequently and loved their breakfast. We thought they had the best sausage and loved their fried potatos.
They must have changed their supplier??
Now they have cheap greasy sausage and frozen fries
for breakfast

server we had has likely worked there for years, she has the attitude that goes with it. no good morning... just "coffee"..which is fine, considering the atmosphere. It lends it's self to a greasy spoon, so I really wasn't put out by that. food arrived timely and was decent. the real piss off was she never returned during the entire time we had food on our plate. We had no refills on coffee at all till we were completely done. considering they tack on the coffee as a line item, it would have been nice to have a refill during the meal. here is a suggestion if management is reading this... you have lots of staff standing around doing nothing, would be nice to have someone walking around with coffee/cream to keep everyone happy.
I often go to Angels [coffee incl. in meals] and you have to tell them no.. to more coffee.
If Jolene's wishes to attract new regulars they'll have to improve table service.

WHERE SHOULD I BEGIN ?!?!?! WILL NEVER GO BACK
Just meeting the waitress was an experience. She had lost her voice and could barely be heard but that doesn't excuse the lack of introduction or politeness. We were a party of 6 (4 aldult, 2 children) upon receiving our food the waitress almost dumped a whole plate of spaghetti on my 8 month old sons lap but he still received a lap full of garlic bread! The waitress didn't even apoligize for dropping food on him. Then she took the garlic bread back to be replaced, I highly suspect that it was the same dirty bread as it was cold. The rice in the schnitzel meal was cold , they didn't have mashed potatos, i wasn't given butter with my vegetables and my daughters fries looked to have been cooked weeks ago. We asked for seconds on our drinks and didn't receive them. When we complained the complaints seemed to fall on deaf ears.

Awesome food! me and the family are regulars. the soup is soooooo very good, no matter what kind. the pork schitzel is always good.

I realy fill sory for you people who don't see the diference between real homemade food and fast food. How the place should smell if not like food, when you step in the dinnig room. Please, give me a break!
Well our experience in this restaurant was unforgetable! Rolled ribs dinner I've ordered were mouthwatering good, well seasoned, exellent. Hot turkey my wife had was also good,with all white, freshly cooked meat and homemade turkey gravy. The server was polite and attentive form the moment we seat at the table to the end. We will be back for sure !

food was cold, order was wrong, waitress never confirmed order, nver asked if we needed anything, small portions

The food was edible but just barely.
Atmosphere was crappy and the decorations they had must have been on the sheles for years without movment.
Staff was unfriendly, but I don't remeber the waitresses name.

Please do something about this place.

This place was pretty bad, as soon as you walk in there is an odour that does not smell like food. GROSS. Maybe they should scrub everything down there
that might help with the smell.And also get friendlier staff.

We have been here a few times and the food has always been excellent, but this is the second time that we have had to wait longer than ten minutes for some one to take our drink orders. The worst part about it is our server served two groups that had been seated after us before us. When we received our food the meat and eggs were luke warm. The waitress never apologized and had to be asked to refill our coffee. At the end of the meal we waited five minutes for our bill and then decided to go to the register and pay instead of waiting any longer. Needless to say we will never be returning.
