Umberto's or Marcelo's are much better. But they are still better then the Keg, The food is good but you over pay for it. The service is nice but should be better. A good place to go with your family.

This is the place to beeeee....best service, great drinks and food. So professional just wonderful wonderful
This is our second time in two weeks and funny thing same order different presentation, don't know why but that is what happened....both very good, but if I had to choose I would take the first presentation...hey guys turn down the air conditioning I know the waiters get hot but if they have no customers you don't need waiters right. And remember there are lots and lots of patios out there and we women like to dress up and wear our summer clothers and you suits have just that so you would be well advised to take heed of this message and pass it on to the powers that be...We where going to eat their last summer but left as it was too cold....that's all I can say too cold I will take my money elsewhere....patio patio patio...thanks - Order: Salmon, back ribs, dessert sorbe

The setting was lovely. Our party sat near a gorgeous fireplace. Service was very good - very friendly waitress. Started with Bruschetta (was trying to limit my calories) and was disappointed to see it covered in cheese (I didn't read the menu thoroughly). I wish they wouldn't do that. Bread was soggy.
We all ordered some type of steak, which were all cooked to perfection. I ordered a small beef tenderloin, which was perfect. The side of mushrooms was good as well. My other side was market vegetables, which were just okay. My husband had mashed potatoes and he said they were very bland.
Skipped desert for myself but tasted my sister's crème brulée which was TO DIE FOR! All in all a great place for a nice meal. Just make different side dish choices. - Order: Bruschetta, small beef tenderloin, sautéed mushrooms, crème brulée, to name a few

I love this place. Never have had a bad experience. Their steaks are always cookedthe way you request. THe atmosphere is great and we have never had bad service. They cater to your every need - whcih is probably why they are so busy all the time. They have the bestFrench onion soup in the city, and you always know a good steakhouse when the have good French onion soup!

One of the best restaurant experiences I have EVER had! My mother and I were on our annual weekend away and ended up in Kitchener at the Radisson hotel one of the nights. Being a Sunday, we didn't expect to find anything very exciting, but just a stroll through the underground walk-way, and we were met with not one, but THREE restaurants. We chose to eat at the steak house and we are VERY happy we did! The atmosphere was much nicer than you would expect, our server was VERY friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered the Escargot appetizer -- Never thought apple would go so well with "snail"! I had melt-in-your-mouth steak for dinner... let me tell you it was one of the best steaks I've had (and I love steak!!). I ordered the "Sexy Martini" from the Martinis side, and it was far better than the Sexy Martini as the martini lounge I frequent in Peterborough. For dessert, I ordered some crazy dessert with biscotti, coffee mousse, a cinnamon donut and some other things all crammed into a glass. It was amazing! I will DEFINITELY return, it may even be the only reason I go back to Kitchener! A++ Experience, this is how a restaurant should be!
- Order: Escargot, Steak, Martini, dessert.

The Charcoal Steakhouse is one of the best restaurants we have been to. We come back every year for our anniversary. The food is excellent, steaks are made exactly how you want them (which in our experience doesn't happen too often anywhere else) and the service is spectacular. We always get a wonderful anniversary treat after dinner, which is totally unexpected every year. We thought we just got lucky the first time. We really enjoy the steakhouse and look forward to it every year. I'm salivating just thinking about going there tonight....

We went to this restaurant as it was the only place open in a Sunday after a certain hour in the KW area. We were seated immediately at a comfortable table with white tablecloth and nice cutlery. The atmosphere was nice. The waitress was very accommodating. The food was delicious and plentiful, the soup was not perhaps the best French onion I had in my life, but it was acceptable. The steak on the other hand was good and appropriately cooked to my expectations. Clearly I will go back.

First I have to say "I'M NOT, NOR WAS ANYBODY AT OUR TABLE STAFF OR MANAGEMENT."
We had a most delightful evening. The staff were most attentive, from the front door to the wait staff. Our orders were taken first for drinks, then appetizers, then our main course. All came in a good rhythm (or flow). The plates and the food were "hot," and the food "delicious." The fish was moist and flaky, the beef very tender and done to perfection, the eggplant steak etc. rich, tasty, and filling. - Order: Eggplant Steak with rattaoui & Gnochi, Prime rib with mashed potatoes & garden veggie, Breaded Roughy with roasted potatoes & veggie, wine, beer, caesars, surf & turf. Cheesecake for dessert

Service was non-existent.
Food was mediocre. Cold soup and over cooked Salmon. I mean how do you run a restaurant and manage to over cook a Salmon? It’s the fattest fish in the ocean. Seriously! Bunch of savages!
My friends and I will not return. - Order: Soup de jour, Grilled Salmon Steak with roasted garlic mash potatoes and sautéed fresh vegetables.

Although we had reserved a table, we still were forced to wait for the table for a half hour.
The chicken was quite nice but a bit dry. Scallops were delicious with a hint of spice. Goat Cheesecake was ok; definately had and have made better. Sorbet was good; apple is very very sour (or at least ours was). Overall the food was not bad but could have been better.
Waitress had an attitude off and on; maybe she was having a bad night?
Will be trying a different restaurant before going back; having to wait for table when it was booked in advance is just not acceptable in my opinion (especially considering the places is a bit higher end). - Order: Wild Mushroom Chicken, Bourbon Sea Scallops, Sweet Potato Frites, Goat Cheese Cake and Sorbet Trio
