Boston Pizza

Good stuff! Similar to the previous reviewer, we also got there at 6 pm on a Friday and got a table right away. It was not very busy at all. That's where the similarity ended, though. The server was quite attentive and the food was great. The garlic bread was quite excellent with just the right amount of seasoning. The soup was very tasty and good consistency but too expensive at $7.24 for a bowl and the garlic bread. The stromboli and fettucine alfredo was quite good (I was pleasantly surprised by the stromboli). The thing that most impressed us, though, was manager Brian going around and chatting with the customers at their tables. Especially in contrast with the East Side Mario down the road, this was a very pleasant experience.

We arrived at 6 pm and were taken to a seat right away which surprised us as it was a Friday night...The server was pleasant ...when our dinners arrived mine was cold and had to be sent back to the kitchen...the thing is that we waited approx 40 minutes to get it in the first place and after they took my dinner back it was another 25 or so minutes before they brought back the replacement....much to long a time...my friend was already done with his dinner and the plates had been removed when I finally was able to start my dinner...not acceptable at all in my eyes...I spoke to the manager and she was quit reasonable with my complaints and did not charge me for my dinner which I appreciated...whether we go back or not is still unknown as it was also so very noisey and I like a quiet dining experience.....

Our party arrived at approximately 7:45pm which is just after the dinner rush, so that would normally afford us leisurely dining.
Our host was abrupt almost tired of dealing with people for the day and we were then introduced to our server who was an upbeat person who had no interest in our small party of 4 and left us to tend to the bar area. Odd. Our new server was a girl who seemed like we were dumped on her. Too bad. We still left a decent tip, but were neglected during our visit. A simple request for cutlery turned into have a fork and knife tossed on my table from over my shoulder with no napkin.
The Boston Pizza's elsewhere have always been better, but this time I was greatly disappointed. A return visit is questionable despite really good pizzas.

I like when a restaurant claims its certified black angus beef. It was so tough and horrible. How can they advertise a steak as the same as good steak houses for close to the same price and then it comes out like some of the cheapest cuts money can buy. I had let them know and they offer me a desert. What does a bad steak have to do with a garbage piece of meat! "Ohh I am sorry, that draft beer was flat"? How about a ceasar?

Best perogy pizza. I always order this. Service was good considering there were over 20 people in our party.

This review is of the Waterloo location of Boston Pizza.

To start our waitress was wonderful...from there things went downhill. We have been to Boston Pizza one other time and it wasn't good then either only returned because I received a gift card.

The garlic bread cheese twists were ok, french onion soup was ok, thai chicken was ok until I found the extra fiber in the form of human hair on the plate. Ugh! When pointed out to our waitress she immediately took the plate away and had the kitchener manager at our table. They were very apologetic and took the offending meal off our bill (they did offer to replace the meal but I somehow lost my appetite). We paid for the meal with the gift card and left the remaining $17 on the gift card for the waitress as a tip. I'm sure she was surprised to get tipped so well for such a lousy meal but I am never planning on returning so the remainder of the card meant nothing to me.

we stopped by to order out a pizza. We ordered drinks for the wait and our waitress ignored us for about 10 mins after dropping off the drinks, before we flagged her down and ordered the pizza. From that point it was about another 20mins for the pizza to come. During this time the waitress ignored us and did not bill us for the pizza and drinks until 5 mins after our pizza had arrived to go. Pizza was good, but the bellini was the worst bellini I have ever had--tasted more like raspberry sour puss on ice.

I always go to this BP, and I have never had a problem. This last time sucked. For $10, by bf got a piece of steak on a piece of garlic bread and a really small side salad. I got a pasta dish I got last time because I liked it. This time it was really gross. Not even made the way it was last time. Our waitress left to go home, and we were sitting there waiting forever before someone came and gave us our bill, then we had to wait to pay it. Very disapointing.

Chicken wings were not good. Tasteless! They seemed to be boiled??Fettucini was awful, tasted like green peppers, only plus side,is they took it off our bill (with out asking). We lost our waitress for a good 20 minutes couldn't find her at all. Good thing they took the food off our bill or she wouldn't have gotten any tip. Overall not a good experience. Will not go back at all, to any of their franchises.

Great place, great atmosphere. We had to wait 30 minutes for a table but it was handled very well. The hostess advised us to go into the bar to have a beverage while we wait. Our table was ready in 20 minutes BONUS!! The service was the best in the city, we love coming here, they treat us like we're old family friends. The food came out on time and was cooked to perfection. I also come in many times a month with my hockey team and Candice in the bar is always ready with a table and our pitcher being poured. My only problem, not with the restaurant, is the kids running around in the bar at 7:00 PM. I know it is a family restaurant on one side but it is a sports BAR on the other, c'mon people, control your kids, stop expecting other people to do it for you.
