Victorian Rose Restaurant & Tea Room

Impressive food and atmosphere. We had a very relaxing dining experience. The food was presented beautifully and everything was extremely fresh and tasty. I had the pork dinner special and my wife had some homemade ravioli (stuffed with lobster). I was particularly taken with the dessert, it was a raspberry meringue pie (light and delicious).Everyone in our party was very happy with their meals.The service was also exceptional I would really recommend eating there.

Very disappointing. Food presentation was poor, and the food itself was substandard. I had the Rueben sandwich. The meat was sparce and looked like it came from a "boiling bag". The atmosphere was non-existant. The dessert plate was grocery store squares, some raspberries, and a couple of cookies stuck on a plate. Everything was over priced.

The server was very nice and helpful, but that's about the most positive thing I can say.

Considering their competition is so exceptional and just two doors down, you'd think they would step it up a bit.

The Very Best Afternoon Tea Around!! The Scones were scrumptious and the tea sandwiches were the best I've ever had! Such a beautiful place to go and the Christmas decorations were fantastic!

We stopped by for some afternoon tea and scones. The tea ordered was darjeeling and orange pekoe. The orange pekoe tea had to be sent back because after 5 mins the water had not changed colour at all. The tea sandwiches were okay but they did have the crust on. The scones were hard, some harder than others. We sent one back because you could not even cut into it. We had another one brought to the table as a replacement. However this scone had been heated up in the microwave and the bottom had been cut off as a solution to it being hard as a rock.
I certainly will not be going back for some rock hard scones and some very weak tea.

It was my first visit to the Victorian Rose, I didn't realize it was a restaurant until I walked by the other day, for some reason I always thought it was a bed and breakfast.
I'm sure glad I decided to try it!
The Food was very well presented and tasted perfect.
I sat outside on the patio, which was hidden behind the building, what a great place for relaxing with a book and a glass of wine, they had such a good list to choose from.
The menu had so many things I wanted to try, I can't wait to go back

Not sure about the name of the sandwich but it was delicious.The salad was fresh and the house dressing is one of the finest I have ever had.
