Vernon's Tap & Grill

Good experience overall: food was hearty and homeade, very generous portions, reaonably priced (around $10 for most meals), service was fast and friendly. The bread for the bruschetta and the Vernoski's was fresh baked and delicious. The only disappointment when ordering the Vernoski is the gravy that comes on the side - very bland and I didn't even need it - the Vernoski was great by itself.

The atmosphere does leave something to be desired (old 70's bar look with a hint of must), but if you want an inexpensive hearty meal, this fits the bill.

Ive never ate at Vernons, but Ive been to the bar. The bartender is kind of unpleasent and makes you feel rushed to order. The atmosphere could use a rennovation. But besides for the meanie bartender the rest of the staff is pleasent.

Unfortunately whomever took my order didn't follow instructions. I asked for a double portion of vegetables with my eggplant Parmesan & I got penne (didn't taste good) instead.

Also I think I was charged for 4 toppings on my pizza instead of the 3 I ordered because I got black & green olives instead of just green.

The Nachos were bland, the pizza was so so, I wouldn't order it again, the only thing I really liked was the eggplant Parmesan.

All three items IMO were very expensive, although the nachos were huge, but since I won't be eating them, it was a waste of money. Also a receipt was never provided, so I couldn't even read it over to determine if there were any mistakes when paying $45 for 3 items.

I did take out, didn't sit in, so I can't tell you what the inside was like.

We just moved to Kingsville & were EXTREMELY glad to have tried Vernon's right away. We enjoyed the meals & the service & it's perfect for the whole family. My only complaint was that I left my take home box behind by accident! Won't do that again!

I have been a loyal follower of Vernon's. The bar is stocked better than most in the city of Windsor and being a beer lover I've rarely stumbled upon a beer list like thiers. The staff are friendly and the people making your food are top knotch. Make it a point to visit Vernon's, if you're lucky you may even meet the man himself!

I,myself know the meaning of homemade and my meal did not taste at all homemade.The service was awful .It was freezing in there.My husband and I wondered if the heat was on at all.Maybe I will try it again.Hopefully they can prove me wrong.

I might be biased, as i think Vern is gorgeous, but the food was wonderful, the waitress was very pleasant, great atmosphere!
