Pelican's Roost Chicken & Seafood Grill

Our group was not recognized when we came through the door for about 3 minutes, even with reservations. Drink orders took 15 minutes, and then were confused. Our server was not interested, and was sloppy, and when the manager came over to the table, she wasn't either, in fact, she was arrogant. The food came out sporadically, it took 20 minutes for all of us to be served, the first were finished by the time the last of our group got their food. Obviously alot of packaged sauces, nothing original, and food temperature was not appropriate. This was a very disappointing dining experience, and we will never be back. We felt that nothing lived up to the hype, there was little in the way of "hospitality". We felt like we were a burden, not guests.

There are many resaurants to choose from in the downtown Kincardine area, and Pelican's Roost does not live up to the challenge by attempting to stand out! The food is overpriced for its quality, and the service is often very slow and not caring or attentive. For a party of seven, it took us far more than two hours to have the entire meal finished and delivered, when we would have preferred to be out of there in just over an hour. The food came out very sporadically, to serve seven people all of their meals took about fifteen minutes in total, which was irritating. Sometimes it felt like the food was just never going to arrive.
You get the feeling that the people working there (including management) don't really care about the customer's experience, and it shows. Choose from some of the other more appealing restaurants in the downtown area!

I enjoyed the food tremendously, the service was timely, and our server was extremely friendly and pleasant.

The atmosphere was quaint and warm,and I would definitely return again.
