Gilley's Feed Lot Restaurant & Banquet Hall

Before new management; we would come to Gilley's strictly for wing night.
After new management; we are really impressed w/ the new menu & the use of local food. (Pine River Cheese, Bruce Beef, etc.) The menu is unique for our town considering all the "chain" restaurants popping up serving pre-made meals. We enjoy the refreshing change of meals made fresh as you order them. There french fries are AMAZING!!! All entrees we've enjoyed so far have been fantastic!

Gilley's Feed Lot. Re-opened a few months ago after shutting down for about 6 months for some renovations and a change in management. Apparently the only renovations that took place were in the banquet hall because the decor is still reminiscent of your uncles rec room (the downstairs at least). When we arrived we were greeted warmly and even though we needed a table for 10 (and didn't have a reservation) it was less than five minutes until we were seated. Our server was very attentive, friendly and courteous. The only issue that I had with the service was how long it took between requesting the bill and actually getting it. This is a pet peeve of mine and it comes up quite often here in Bruce County that servers falter at this point in the service, which unfortunately leaves a bad taste in your mouth regardless of how well they performed for the majority of the service.

The drinks were served in a timely manner and although they don't have a a stellar selection of beers on tap there is still enough choice for the average beer fan.
Our meals were a bit slow coming out but not too terrible considering the amount of people that we had and the fact that everyone was served at the same time. For dinner I ordered the Gilley's Burger (a house special apparently). This burger was dry. That's all there was to it. The fries the burger was served with were wonderful, the veggies adorning it were fresh, the bun tasted fresh as well but the burger sat like a brick in the middle (and it sat like a brick in my stomach as well). What a shame.
Overall I would give this place a 6 out of 10. If the server hadn't been so attentive for the majority of the meal they would have gotten about a 4 (because really turning a burger into a brick is unacceptable, really how hard is it to cook a burger?).

Gilly?s feed lot is one of the gems of Kincardine the menu has it all from burgers to salads that would make any person salivate in anticipation. Gilly?s is the closest thing you will find to a sports bar in the town of Kincardine with TV?s decorating the back of the bar in the basement showing everything from curling to rugby. Gilly?s has four very distinct areas in where you could chose to dine, the Basement (sports bar), first floor, (Quiet dinning), Patio (off set from the main street covered by a beautiful large tree set off from the sidewalk by an elegant iron fence), Up Stares (pool tables and bar that is closed more then open I?m sure its used for the banquets). This place is a must for all visitors and citizens to visit at least once.

The food was delicios, or as the french would say, Bon. I recomend this restaurant to everyone.

I like Gilley's feed Lot because the food is good and it is served a.s.a.p,the people there are friendly and it has an awesome den area where you can drink beer and eat and there are lots of tv's that are tuned to CBC, TSN, ESPN and on the third floor there is a bar and there is a small stage with some good speakers, and also two pool tables.They also are a Banguet Hall and the have excellent buffet's but they are by reservation only. Even though it opened as a restaurant in 1978 and before that it was the old legion it's still in good shape for it's age.
So i would say it's a cool place to hang out and to bring your friends and family there.

Food was terrible...arrived cold. Service was
very slow but moderatly friendly.
