I frequent this place for their take out special, the jr. pollock and chips. The fish and chips are delicious, the only thing is I've noticed the quantity of chips has declined over the past year. I don't like having to ask for 'extra chips', so now I've switched to just chips. I like the wrapped in newspaper method, it reminds me of a fish and chips place I went to years ago. It's environmentally friendly and not a health issue- just think, no styrofoam containers that get tossed in the trash.

This is our "local" . . . food is traditional britsh pub fare, excellent variety of fish, lots of locals come in as well as sailers and their parties who come up from the harbor. Excellent variety of British, Irish, Scots, and Canadian beers on tap. Get's very busy on Saturdays when everybody comes to town, come early or come on a weeknight to have a table on their front porch overlooking the harbor and lighthouse.

Terrible, poorly prepared food, slow service and very beat up looking restaurant.

Fish was great, but way too many chips. In this "heart healthy" time, why not do half the chips and a side salad or vegetable?
