if there is a heaven of food i just found it!!!
tarboosh restaurant on upper james is the place to go when you are hungry. I had the best meal ever today. I have been to the one on centenniel but there is no comparison between the two. Last time i was in the one on centennial the service was terrible and the food tasted old. Maybe it was because it was morning and they gave me the leftovers of the night before.... Today i went to try the one on upper james and it did not let me down. I will definately be recommending it to the people i know. Everything was fantastic from the service to the food. There was a nice couple there, husband and wife, and they were very very friendly. They were fast and easy to talk to. They did not say no to anything. I will definately be going back there soon. - Order: chicken dinner, falafaels, hummus, fatoush

Have been going to this resto for 6 years plus, dine in and take out. Food has been really hit or miss lately. Soggy bland falafel and disgusting baklava. Dunno if I can order it again... there is some new falafel talent on concession street so unless i'm in a bind i'll go there.
Tarboosh has wonderful hummos and a cool interior there. Very good salads too.
- Order: Falafel, hummos, shwaerma, baklava.

Though service DOES leave something to be desiered Tarboosh is always a great experiance. Table service is definatley this restruants set back as orders are often mistaken and its usually not very fast. Take-out service is more reliable and usually quite fast and gets about an 8 compared to the sit down service which at times is around a 3 depending on your server. Food is good and the falafal is amazing, Im not a big fan of the baklawa here 'cause its too sweet and I also dont enjoy the fries (though I know fries arent really a middle-east or mederterranian specialty). Decor is sparce and its very dull. I do enjoy watching the often cheese ball lemboneese game shows/movies/dramas while Im waiting for my order. Dunno if this place is still open, it was closed last time I whent but I like Tarboosh and enjoy the food and will go back!

We've been here many times. The table service can be a bit sparse, but this is mostly because take-out is much of their business.
Overall their food is wonderful. Good portions, very fresh, wonderful blend of flavors, filling and satisfying every time we've gone. I would highly recommend their soup, the kibbi ground meat, and the "Magic" vegetarian sandwich. The babaganoush is excellent as well.
- Order: lentils soup, fattoush salad, beef and falafel pita sandwiches

worst service ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!! i ordered 3 falafel sandwiches to go, and she told me it would be '10 mins'.. so i took a walk outside and into the near-by persian grocery store.. went back to pick up my sandwiches, and she hadn't even STARTED YET !!!!!!! another couple came in and she took their order and also told them '10 minutes'... after another 15 mins she gave me my sandwiches and the other couples... it was as if she was waiting for more orders to move her lazy butt and get to work! 25mins for SUB-PAR falafel. p.s they increased their prices without advertisng it.

Avid Tarboosh fan. Love Mississauga, had the best experience yet with tantalizing arabic delights in Burlington, but horribly dissapointed by Hamilton. I do understand there is a family relation between the restaurants, so I am puzzled by the dissapointment in Hamilton. Unfortunately I live here, but will not hesitate when I wish wonderful arabic cuisine, to travel to Mississauga, and the wonderful new surpise of Burlington, which is closer, and even better than Mississauga
- Order: Falafel Sandwich
