Mandarin used to be a lot better in the past. First time I've been to Hamilton location. Food could be better. I find that King Buffet is a lot better.

I adore the Mandarin. Fave place to eat of all time. And the crab legs are a steal. The service usually great. By far the best server yet has been Peter, I adore him. The only complaint I have is from the first time after having my daughter my fiance and I went on a date there and I was over joyed to beable to have some fancy drinks. Unfortunately a younger server who I did not recognize commented when I ordered my third drink saying something along the lines of you must of had enough.

Mandarin is always good for beffet style restaurant. It is probably the priciest of all buffet places, however the quality and variety outdoes the other places. VERY busy, not to mention the rude overweight filthy customers that show up unfortunately (low brow jogging pants trash) that push there way through everyone as if the food is going to stop. TWO older couples dined and dashed in the time that we were there!!! Absolutely appalling!!!

This was an extremely busy sunday evening dinner, but it always amazes me how they can move customers like a well oiled machine. The food tins are always full and hot, and very tasty, The price of $23.99 for the crab buffet is a REAL BARGAIN.

I have been frequenting the Mandarin for a few years now. I have gone there with friends, but dine alone sometimes, as well. If you want to take friends to lunch or dinner, there is enough choice that would please anyone, I would think. Even if they do not like Chinese Food, they could find other things. Only one little thing that doesn't bother me too much, but makes me feel a little uncomfortable when dining alone. I notice that I am usually seated in an area where I feel that single diners are not important. Place them beside the kitchen door, that sort of thing. Other than that, it's fine.

This restaurant has a wide variety of food. I can't complain about that. The wait staff were always there making sure you have your drinks and clearing your plates very promtly (maybe I felt a little too prompt). We felt almost rushed.
The atmosphere was good, very busy. Price wise I can only say OK. How many times can you go up to eat for a total bill of close to $100.00.

The Mandarin is pretty good when it comes to all you can eat buffets. It is way better than Chan's Buffet in selection and quality.
Lots of dinner options, and I always love all the fresh fruit for dessert. This week they even had chocolate dipped strawberries!
The service at Mandarin is always speedy. The waiters promptly clear away dirty dishes and refill water glasses. However, do NOT eat the sushi here. There are plenty of all you can eat sushi places in Hamilton, if that's what you want.
Also, I find most of the baked goods on the dessert table to be too 'packaged' tasting for me.For the price I really can't complain. $15-$22 might sound expensive for a buffet, but try getting a good meal anywhere else on Upper James for that price!

We go to the Mandarin on a regular basis. Best Chinese Buffet in town for selection, service, cleanliness and friendliness.
The only complaint I have of which the Mandarin cannot change and that is the number of children that are now in the restaurant. They waste so much food and run around all over making it dangerous for servers and patrons alike. I know you can't refuse customers with children but it would be a good idea maybe to post a sign saying "Eat what you take and don't waste food". Maybe it will smarten some of these ignorant parents up. We are getting to the point where we don't like going there anymore. - Order: Wine and beer All the foods and desserts on the buffet
