King's Buffet

From the other negative reviews that I have been reading, I almost feel as though we haven't visited the same restaurant. I have only positive things to say. Friends of mine were visiting from Holland, and we went there for lunch. (I have eaten here several times before). They were quite impressed and enjoyed it very much. Even though a bus load of people arrived, which had me a little worried for a bit, but the flurry of activity subsided and we enjoyed our meal very much. Perhaps some of the people who wrote the negative reviews frequent higher class restaurants, or something. As for me I think, for the price, this is restaurant is just fine and a great deal.

on october 30 i decided to take a friend of mine to kings buffet for his birthday , we arrived there at 530 pm and there wasnt to much of a lineup at that time, i had a walker as i need it to help me to walk , now when they seen that they decided to make us wait , and while sitting there for another hour i noticed there were ppl in wheel chairs , walkers and scooters and they were being taken to their tables ,and several times i asked the management when we were going to be seated and he replied , we are trying to find room for your walker, and i told him as i was sitting there waiting i had noticed other ppl woth mobility devices and they were being taken in , so by 7 pm i told them i would leave my walker in the room where you hang your coats and then we were taken to our table , i was quite upset over this , but they seem to find space for all the others and putting 3 or 4 large tables together and blocking the way where you need to get through but not for my walker, well needless to say that should have been my last visit there but on november 20 2009 my daughter and i went back for lunch and this is where we got food poisoned from the either raw shrimp or bad shrimp and therefore i'll never return there again ever

when kings first opened i thaught the restraunt was the greatest but after visiting there on several ocassions i have found that their food and service have slacked off , we have found hair in the food , the pop didnt taste right , the glasses smelled as if they hadnt been rinsed , and the topper was today when my daughter and i went there for lunch , we noticed that the shrimp seemed rather sticky , like uncooked or bad but they seemed to taste ok , after eating we left the restraunt and we both became ill on the way home so ive come to the conclusion we were food poisoned and we will never return there again , the food is garbage , so if you're thinking about going out to eat , i dont recommend kings buffet and i will also be putting in a complaint to the health dept

I don't know what people are expecting from this chinese buffet, but the negative reviews surprise me. For what you pay, you can't beat the quality,variety and service. Everytime I go, the only complaint I have, is the quantity of food I ate. Guess it's the mentality "gotta get my moneys worth" that causes most to overeat here. Regardless of the naysayers, I highly recommend this Buffet.

We had quite a bad experience here. The food wasn't the best, when we asked to take the remaining food home the server who seemed quite clueless about everything snickered at us and looked rather confused but got around to it eventually. We talked to the manager about everything and tried to assure us that this may have been some type of misunderstanding or something, and offered us a free buffet ticket. It felt like he was just trying to get rid of us, and the buffet ticket was for 1 person when both of us complained, plus it was for select days and one was not the day of the day of the week we had been there. We ened up giving the ticket away as we were left with a bad feeling about the place.

One of my favorites. Good variety at a reasonable price. They also serve lobster as part of the buffet on weekends as well. Better than Mandarin. Line up on weekends but worth it.

This is the worst place to work for...and no, I am not an ex-employee....I know someone that worked there and she was treated like an animal..
I told her to call the Labour Board because they are not treating people like humans...maybe if your Chinese....... but they are way out of line...
DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE...she was also not paid accordingly...for training etc.....

My son and girlfriend (teenagers) were sooooo impressed with the service, they keep recommending the place to everyone. They were so impressed that even though they were young, the server was prompt, attentive, pleasant, and so were all the other people. The food was rated excellent and the price appropriate. Anyone we know that has gone, kids parties, ladies night out,, dinner dates, have ALL had an excellent experience lunch or dinner. ANd so close to us too!

A good restaurant buffet! - not as bad as some of the reviews here would indicate. The service was prompt - our young server "Christina" was a great worker - quickly rushing back and forth - always with a friendly smile. There could be more room between tables so that the overweight people can walk through without body-checking the other customers. Also, I didn't like the long line up for the lobster - especially the overweight women who hoard the lobster tray and slowly sort and pile all the lobsters on their plate (with the bowl of melted butter - I'd like to see their clogged arteries!). Someone should serve the lobster to the customers to ensure faster service like they do with the roast beef and cakes.

I went here for dinner since that I was very tired and didn't want to cook. At first glance I thought that this place wasEXPENCIVE!!!!! So much selection, and great food. The bill was lower priced than I expected. I suggest though that if you want to come here, go on a weekday because it will be way more expencive on the weekend. Overall, I suggest this resturant to everyone.
