Karolina's Restaurant

Just a great experience in food and atmosphere overall. The prices were almost too low for what you were getting.

The restaurant was very clean and although the service was a tiny bit slow they did apolgise as they were short staffed at the time.

The person (Lana) who wrote a previous review, and was not very happy with this restaurant, probably wouldn't know a decent restaurant if it hit her in the side of the head.

Our experience was excellent and the food was great. They made fresh potato pancakes (from scratch) just for us and the cabbage rolls and perogies were as good as what my mother used to make.

We’ve learnt about this restaurant from this web site and were excited to try it on. When entering we were met with a musty smell and were not very impressed with the cleanliness of the place. But we decided to stay because of the great reviews that we read here. Considering we were the only customers the service was very slow. We were very disappointed in our food. We found pirogies to be greasy and tasteless. Cabbage rolls were small and semi-warm so were the potatoes. We could not believe that people give so high reviews to this restaurant. We think this restaurant was rated on price alone.

SO MUCH FOOD, and SO DELICIOUS! They kept bringing platters out of homemade, hot and fresh food. The soup was divine, the meat was delicious, and oh my god, the perogies were the best I've ever had. A little difficult to find, but once you discover this hidden gem, you'll make multiple trips back. One of the best (if not the best) restaurants in Hamilton!

The first time we heard about Karolina's we were told to expect great food but expect to wait for it. It's like your invited into someones home and they treat you like the guest. The best homemade food made to order, consistantly the best. Take the time and relax, forget the roadhouse food.

We drove past this place twice before finding it lurking in amongst dark derelict storefronts. Once we did it was like stepping inside someone's home, from the cosy Euro-Granny decor to the ladies hand rolling perogies at a kitchen table. Service was excellent. The food kept coming and was fresh, hot and tasty in a basic meat and potatoes kinda way, and there's nothing wrong with that. This is the place to go when you want to go home but can't and your belly needs some lovin'.

Karolina's was hard to find as the stores around it are dark but once inside the atmosphere is bright and clean. Reservations are a must. Sunday night was easier to get into. Any food you don't eat you take home. We easily had enough food for 3 more people. Like going to another country without leaving home.

The platters of hot freshly made meat, vegies, salads and pierogies just kept coming.
everything was homemade, and fresh. we had the variety platters: breaded chicken cordon blue, breaded pork cutlet, roast beef, roast pork, pierogies, cabbage rolls, tossed salad, macaroni salad, and coleslaw everything tasted great. Yes the dessert was very small piece of blueberry chesecake, but you are so full that it was enough, and very tasty. We also had 2 kinds of soup: creamy potatoe soup was very good, the chicken noodle soup was very bland. we had a group of 16 people and everyone enjoyed it, and we will deffinately come back with our families.

One of the best places in the city for nice polish meal. Everything made fresh there. Nice friendly atmosphere. Make reservation to avoid disappointment
