These days the food is great, but there were a few days when i went there and its like they change the chef...Then-i had fault with everthing...Now-i just keep going back...hopefully they dont use the other try out chef

Granny's is takeout and groceries so ambiance is not an issue. Nevertheless, it is clean and the fella behind the counter was a sweetheart. I ordered the chicken roti at $7.00 (they have goat too) The roti bread was wonderful, light and tasty. There were generous amounts of chicken and potato in the filling. However, the chef must have lost track of his salt shaker. It was way too salty and significantly reduced my enjoyment of the meal. While Granny's claims to have the 'best Jamaican food' they need to improve their seasoning, at least for the roti. Friends claim the jerk chicken is great.
