Chester's Beers Of The World

I have been going to Chesters for years. I dont know where the last person went but there is another bar on Bay and King called beers of the world but that place is a hole. Chesters Beers of the World on King and Hughson is an incredible place. The food is always good and the beer selection is huge. They only have one type of draft. That is because they want clients to sample the incredible beers from Belgium, England, Germany, Italy and countries that you wouldnt even thought brewed beer. Yes the decor is a little old but you feel like your in an old time bar in New York City. The owners Mike and Louie are very friendly and if you have any questions on the beer you are drinking Mike will tell you anything you need to know.

I think ever review below has to be fake... we went in thinking they would have beers of the world! they had three beers that's all... the washrooms well.. I think the floor was the washroom... health dept... please check this place out.

Chester's has food? Huh. That's not why we visit. Probably one of the best beer selections in Ontario - certainly the most extensive I've ever seen here. The decor, frankly, looks as though it's straight out of the '70's. And oddly, there always seem to be the 'regulars' sitting up at the bar drinking the likes of Bud or Coors. But take some friends, find a cozy booth, open one of the multiple pages of beer in the menu, close your eyes, point, and enjoy the surprise! It is so much fun to sample one another's choices as you flip trough the selections! Served in appropriate glasses and at appropriate temperatures - Chester's is a beer-lovers treat (spoken by someone who isn't necessary a beer lover, per se!)! Just make sure you take a cab home.

If you like a wide selection of beer and a little story about each of them - this is the place for you! I've eaten here for many things - although bar food late is my usual. Everything I've had here was very good. Highly recommended!

I go here quite regularily with friends. It's the greatest place - I don't get why it's not busier!! I've only had wings there once, since I usually get there after the kitchen has closed, but they were really good!
No matter either way, I go for the beer - not the food! They have like 200 beers or something...amazing!! The boss is really knowledgable and helpful and some of the server's too. The only downside is a couple of the servers are not the best...a couple of them are friends and are always there when the other one is working and they tend to forget they are supposed to serve the customers. The other servers are great though - you just need to learn what days to go on.
Overall - a great place if you're a beer drinker and like a classic pub-style bar!

This restaurant is in the heart of Downtown - you would never guess this place has so many varieties of beer until you read the second part of their name "beers of the world"

I couldn't believe how many different beers they had - it was great - if i lived in Hamilton I would go there every week and say I have had all their beers - I had Hoegardeen - have only had it once before and i liked it a lot. I will be visiting it again.

This place is awesome! They have so many beers that you can't get anywhere else! I've been here many times - for lunch they have specials and the cooks are very accomodating to make things just how to like it. Some of the newer servers aren't as great, but the service is still better than most of Hamilton. I recommend it for everyone - especially the beer drinkers!!

This is THE place to go for beer. They have almost 200 different bottled beer from all over the world.

This place is my favourite place to go for beers. The patio is handy enough to watch the weirdos wander through Gore Park, and yet in the atmosphere of a classy cozy bar. Great selection of beers too!

Not a bad place. Very cozy place with a nice atmosphere. Great selection of beer and finger foods. Service was prompt and attentive. Had a nice variety of food. Great burgers which are freshly made. Also not bad wings. Will definatley be visiting again.
