Review: Don't be afraid of the location at Barton & Sherman. This is hands down the BEST place for Perogies & Cabbage rolls in the city. The first time I walked in there a couple of years ago the smell hit me like a hammer....was the smell of my grandmother's kitchen, which I hadn't been in since she died in 1979....so you know they make them right!
The setting leaves much to be desired. It's in an old diner, and likely nothing has changed in 50 years. The server is a little gruff, but essentially he's running what I think is the neighbourhood Polish social gathering spot, so when some big 'Canadian' guy walks in, they look a little suspicious.
Order the combination plate of perogies & cabbage rolls...I think it's something like 7.99. Tons of food on the plate, absolutely incredible.
I can't recommend it enough!

Review: I have been visiting this restaurant since I was a little girl with my Polish father. Not much has changed with the decore, but that is not the reason to visit this place. It is the food! Authentic Polish food, excellent prices, great portions! In the last 40 yrs there has only been 3 different owners...and that says something! Polish people eat at a polish restaruant! That means it is GREAT! I highly recommend this place..best Polish food in the city!
