  • This is a wonderful little homey restaurant in the heart of downtown Hamilton.
The gentlemen that owns this restaurant is very friendly and greets you with a smile but I truly believe that perhaps having one person as your staff can get a little bit overwhelming as at times they do not have enough time to answer all your questions.
It still beats a very busy restaurant with bitchy waitresses though.
The food is incredibly delicious, having been to Korea just recently, I can truly vouch that its authentic Korean food and its exactly how it would taste. I highly recommend any of the soup dishes! The only down side is that they don't have pork bone soup which is a staple to Korean cuisine!
The price is a little high considering the last 2 years its gone up about twice! But I would DEF. recommend this restaurant if your looking for something a little quiet and some very yummy Korean cuisine!

A plus+ the owner will take your photo and let you decorate it! And one weekends he plays the piano or you can watch him do his art work in the old bank vault that they kept after many years!!!!!!! He is AMAZING!

  • We were hurngry and thinking what kind of food to go for and having tried thai, japanease and veit recently we thought we would go for Korean.

It was the first time I was given a menu where I honestly didnt know what to expect. anyways we tried the Hot Pot chicken something and the BBQ Beef prepared meal.. the hot pot dish was cool, we got to cook it at our table (even thought I have to admit paying to cook your own food is strange especially when your headed out NOT to cook your own food) either way it was a good experience. you get a whole buch of little appetizers which were interesting and gobbled that down... but my issue mainly came withe the BBQ Beef prepared dish.. CHEWY CHEWY CHEWY, almost rubber like and to be honest I think i left most of it on the plate, and on the inside it was super rare. Now im not sure if Korean BBQ is like that but it was a little strange to me. not to take away for the other dish but it did put a damper on thing.

other than that the waiter was very courteous.

  • Order: 14 and 21 chicken BBQ (good) and preped BBQ beef (not so good)

  • The place has very nice music and a very homey and cosy atmosphere. I love the food here, one of the best korean food I have ever tasted, and that is coming from someone that is asian. The service is great, and they're very friendly and always have a smile. If you want appetizers, they are very happy to give you more. The price is very good, coming up to around 10-15$ for dinner. The only thiing that could be improved is the # of ppl working there, but I guess it is family-owned. But it isn't really a big problem. I would definitely go back.

  • for those who enjoy korean food in Toronto or even Korea, you can't really compare, of course they're going to be better, c'mon it's hamilton

but hands down THE BEST korean restaurant in Hamilton.

it's a family owned and run business, the husband is usually out serving, and the wife is in the back cooking up all of the food. Lovely people.

Service is a bit slow, but understandable since there's usually only one waitstaff. Pretty quiet place, beautiful atmosphere (the owner is also an avid painter, and he decorated the place himself), and fresh, clean tasting food!

I recommend this place to everybody, great dining experience :)

  • Food is always excellent and delicious. Portion sizes are fair and more then enough for two people to handle (larger parties may have to order more food). Service is generally excellent, I really enjoyed getting my picture taken and the owner likes to talk about his art if asked, other servers I had dont speak or understand english well but seem to understand enough to do a good job. Decor is excellent, nice tables, sparkling clean and an amazing atmosphere. Usually pretty quite on weekdays. Love this place and its officially my favorite spot in Hamilton.

  • Always great, fresh food but alway terrible service. Waitress never comes back unless you go get her. Forgets items. It is frustrating> Owner is wonderful but can't serve all the tables. Wish I could see the servixce improve as i 'd go more often and not leave displeased!!

  • Friends took me to this restaurant. Although I enjoyed the restaurant and, of course, my friends, I found the food, or the portions, just terrible. I could have eaten three of these dinners easily at one sitting. Postage sized portions of meat, very few pieces of vegetable. Well, I can't even describe how bad it was. I am so surprised to read other reveiews of this restaurant being so good. Am I missing something? Or did I just get a bad night? I am very reluctant to try this restaurant again. Who knows, I might give it a try on my own. I definitly would not try to impress friends with the food there!

  • Really nicely decorated restaurant, so I started to get apprehensive about "paying not for the food but the decor". But when the food came it was phenom! The self-serve bbq bulgogi was awesome to cook and the lettuce wrap item that my friend ordered (I forgot what it was called) was super fun to eat. It was spicy but not too overladen like some other Korean restaurants do it. I was sad we were too full for dessert so next time I'm skipping on appetizer and looking forward to some summer sweet treats. Towards the end, the server asked us for a picture and our signatures; it was lots of fun drawing on the polaroid.

In short, a must-visit for good food and definitely worth it.

  • This place was hard to see! They really need a higher profile (or perhaps that ridiculous Jarvis parking lot needs to be an actual civic square). A wonderful atmosphere inside, though. Very classy. Food was very fresh-tasting, and the spices provided for us to season it fit the food perfectly. Thoroughly enjoyed everything, and will hopefully return sometime soon.

  • We went on a stat holiday and it wasn't very busy, so we were given a private room to ourselves! The noodles were very good, w/ fresh, succulent shrimp (7.99). The salmon salad (5.99) was also great: fresh lettuce, cabbage, etc. and an awesome dressing. The bbq pork (14.99, more than enough for 2) is addictive, also served with fresh lettuce for wrapping and fresh veggies for stir-frying. The only complaint I have is that we couldn't find our server to order dessert and ended up leaving without any! (Next time we'll order it with the meal so as to avoid confusion.) All in all, a tasty find.

  • Order: Udon with shrimp, table top bbq pork, salmon salad w/ pineapple dressing
