Woks-Taste Chinese Restaurant

Went with roomate and split curry and fish and chips. The Fish batter was nice and cruchy however had no taste. The fish itself wasn't seasoned or the batter. The Curry was a little too spicy for me but had really good flavour and seasoning however the beef was like eating cardboard was grossly overcooked. The Guiness Chocolate Molton Cake was very good, didn't taste alot of Guiness not really sure if it's in there but a nice dessert.... would order that again. As well the coulis on the plate actually tasted like itense strawberry. Would go again but would stick with wings or something else...... The Fat Duck Ale is great as is the other beer they make.

When we moved to Guelph we had a very hard time finding good Chinese food until someone suggested Woks Taste thank God!

The place used to be my fav place for Chinese food. Price was cheap, food was excellent. Since the new management, food wasn't that great anymore. The guy that looks like a manager didn't know much about the food and lack service skills. Only good thing changed is now they have uniforms.

Quite a disappointment from new management

the fried rice was not as good as i thought. perhaps if it had'nt been overcooked a bit it would have been top notch. hoewever, it was not a bad time there. the servers were friendly and everyone else seemed to be enjoying the food. so it could have been just a bad break. definatly worth giving it another shot. it will be a while before i do though.

The food was not as good as I thought based on these reviews. The service was just okay, maybe they thought I wouldn't tip them because I am only a teenager. All in all, I might go back again.

Been here a few times before and enjoyed it before, but they definitely slipped this time.
The chicken was not freshly cooked -- seemed like it had been reheated. The chop suey was 90% sprouts with little bits of celery and about 5 small shrimp. I expect better anywhere, but definitely better here.

The service absolutely Woked my world; very friendly and the food arrived quickly. Our meal was awesome - the soup was great and had just enough spice. The fried pork with spices was the highlight though, the flavour exploded once it hit my tongue and the plethora of different spices stimulated my taste buds. This was our first visit and we will be coming back for sure.

went in with my young 3 year old son , food arrived in record time and delish , i have been going there since i have been pregnant with my 3 year old and i cna't get enough of it @! and i was overjoyed when they finally got delivery !!! cant wait to try the hot and sour soup

We ordered a delivery meal by phone, in late afternoon. Though we had no menu, phone staff was very patient and helpful. Delivery was fast, yet the food was perfection in its hot freshness, tender-crisp textures, and flavour. Light and savoury, tasty in all ways. Every aspect pleased our nervous, experienced palates, and we will dine at Woks and/or order from them again. Delicious!

we did takeout and the food was good. the packing leaked though so there was grease all over the bag. (gotta be careful in the car!) we didn't see the cashews in a separate bag stapled to the outside of the other bag (odd place to put it) until we finished our meal. the people working there were really nice.
