Squirrel Tooth Alice's

The new chef at Squirrellys is the "god" a gang of us went Halloween nite for the prime rib and yorkie pudding and you could cut the meat with a teaspoon and the yorkies were huge but light. They have added a few items to the new menu and as well as a breakfast parfait for the healthy nuts but the prime rib is fantastic!!!! Good work Chef!!!!!

For the price, it was the most delicious steak I've had in a long time. The service was great and I was made to feel welcome even though I was alone. It's a happy place with many smiling faces. I've been back many times and now many of those smiling faces are friends. I would recommend Squirrel Tooth Alice's to anyone who wants a great (inexpensive) meal and a wonderful atmosphere.

Feel sorry for the last review my friends family and myself have always had a great meal and great friendly service and the ""Benedict" has always been fantastic as well as the lunch and dinner items and the "specials" that are run daily. As far as not being able to order the "Benny" on weekends I guess the owners have a reason . Cheers Squirrelly s!!!

I agree with most of the terrible comments about this place. One comment I can definitely disagree with however is the one about the "Alice Benedict". First of all I don't know why they can only make it during the week. Eggs benedict is one of my favourite meals so when my friend who worked there informed me I could only get it during the week I made sure this is when I went. Regardless, the meal is made with a blender so I don't see why it cant be made on the weekend. There are at least 5-6 cooks in that kitchen you'd think they could blender up an eggs benedict on a saturday afternoon. And it is terrible. One of the worst eggs benedicts i have ever had. By the time it got to our table it was hardly lukewarm. I also received my meal about 3 minutes after the rest of my diners.

One of my fellow diners got a breakfast meal and his eggs were done incorrectly and his toast was white when he had asked for whole wheat.

To top it all off, one of the servers began to scrape gum off the bottom of the tables surrounding us, and it was absolutely disgusting. One of the last things we would have liked to have seen while eating breakfast.

All in all I DO NOT recommend. Try Eggcetera or Angels Diner.

worst service ever...server didnt know anything about the food and drinks they were serving..everything in our meal was wrong..wrong color bread...fries instead of onion rings..onoins when i hate them..sadly i have been there many times and the service is always the same...BAD....ive finally learned my lesson

I think they're trying to be ironic when they say "warm beer, lousy food" or whatever their saying is. They are actually one of the most honest advertisers out there. My breakfast was dripping in grease, my scrambled eggs were copious and disgusting. They were accompanidied by bacon that crumbled when you touched it. The potatoes were cold and flavourless. This place is nothing more than a local dive bar. I'm sure its good for beer and watching sports, but I'll never eat there again.

fantastic they have their own twist to the Eggs Benedict which was very refreshing and the breakfast just as awesome!! They only serve it Mon - Fri as was explained by the server but all the same the best "Eggs Benedict" or sorry "Benedict Alice" we have ever had!!!

My friend and I went here on our lunch hour we arrived at 12:00 pm.
It was nice as the restaurant was not busy yet, so we expected to be on time getting back to work.
We were greeted by a waitress quickly who gave us menus, she then disappeared for about 15 minutes.
We then flagged her down so we could order, the food took about 40 minutes to get to us. We counted and there were only 3 other tables in the restaurant.
We found the service terrible - and were surprised that our waitress was visibly avoiding us and didn't even bother to come over to apologize about the wait nor did she ask how the food was until we were taking our last bite!

No concerns about the food, even though I was starving by the time it arrived so anything at that point would have been great! We were over a half hour late getting back to work.
Needless to say I will not return and won't recommend this restaurant to my co-workers.

awesome food

the salads were fresh and made to order the burgers were homemade and juicy, the steak sandwich done to order, and the lunch special was quite unique... "Miss Piggy on a kaiser" which was a combo of pork products and swiss cheese and hence the name! The server was attentive and the restaruant was very clean and attractive compared to the last time I had visited in the early spring. The breakfast as well is still the best in quelph!
