Service is always slow in here although that never seems to be due to shortage of staff! Some of the servers are very pleasant and others less so.

Very moderate for atmosphere. We go there regularly although I really don't know why. There are far better places to go than this.

What a shame ...
This place could actually be good. It has a pretty cool and unique set-up and the food is not bad. The problem is that all of this is lost due to the abhorrent service. This is not a one time thing either. I have been to this pub several times – each time hoping against hope I will have a positive experience. I really want to like this place. Again – the problem is I just can’t! It is almost hard to believe that you can consistently get such poor service. During my last visit I decided to actually time the service. When we arrived – we were actually seated promptly. Aww – but I knew it was too good to be true. The girl who seated us (and was also bartending) never returned. No issue – as there were 2 other waitresses seemingly working who would be able to attend to us. Not the case. I watched (almost in disbelief) as the other waitresses cleared tables and stood at the corner of the bar socializing. Time for the watch ... 20 minutes have now passed. That’s right – still no drink order – still no service period. It was not until a young man started his shift that we were attended to. This fellow was actually quite pleasant. He tended to our order right away and returned to our table several times to check in. The problem – I was already in a pissy mood because of the abysmal treatment we received in the first ½ hour in the establishment. Something has to change here. As I mentioned – this place could be quite good. When we finally do receive our food – it is good. I just cannot enjoy myself in the face of such incompetent service. I do hope the owners actually read patron reviews and are willing to make some serious changes. Hire and train staff that know something about service (not just look good in short skirts and tight shirts).

My husband and I go here frequently it is normally very good. I am writting today because of the service we had on a particular day. I really hope the owner reads this. We went on a Wed at about 4:30 for some wings and beers as we normally do because we love them, a waitress with black/brown hair threw the menus at us (she must have been really angry we were there.) Then never came back to take our order. She stood at the bar eating her fries and drinking her water and talking with the short blonde bar tender. I'm pissed. We waved at them to let them know we were ready to order and they just turned there backs on us and giggled and talked amongst themselves. I am more pissed. Then she started walking towards us. I thought 'okay we can order now.' O M G she went to the table in front of us and cleared their plates and walked away, back to her fries at the bar. I am super pissed. We had been there for about 15 minutes, as I constantly tried to get our servers attention she kept ignoring me. We wanted drinks so my husband went to the bar and asked for them. We were informed that the brown/black haired girl was our server but she would get our drinks for us. The bartender yelled across the bar to "our" server and asked her if she was taking care of us. She looked at me with an angry scowl and in the bitchiest tone I have ever heard in my life said "we'll he's at the bar now". She was sarcastic, rude, ignorant, Super flamed pissed. My husband brought our drinks to us and I at that point did not want to order food for fear that one of them would spit in it. I was also afraid they had done something to my drink. As we finished our drinks the "server" was doing her shift end duties one of which was sour cream. ON THE BAR!!! OUT OF A BIG TUB. She definatly didn't need to do it there. There's a kitchen for that. As she was doing that. she got some sour cream on her hand, she wiped her hand on the tub to put it back in. EWWWWWWWW. Sour cream is now contaminated. We were told the service was bad because it was shift change and they were confused as to who was actually supposed to be serving us. I was a server for a very long time until my career started - I was a shift leader for most of it. I know the in's and outs of service, I was really good at it. I took it seriously. These two seriously ruined Mc Cabes for me. I will never go back. To the owner: hire staff that are trained in customer service and have them all take the health and safety course for food handling. Then maybe I will come back. But fire those two girls first.

Very mediocre.
The only thing I can say is there are much better pubs in town. There's nothing Irish about this place.
I've tried it a few times and never been impressed. The burgers are unseasoned and tasteless.
The chicken on sandwiches is dry and chewy.
Do yourself a favor and go across the street to Bobby O'Brien's or to the Fox and the Fiddle.

Some doors are locked while others are open. What's the point in having all these doors and only have 1 out of the 4 unlocked? It's hilarious to sit in the restaurant and watch people try to figure out how to get in.

The service is average, sometimes slow at times even if the place isn't busy. The food is average and nothing to be excited about. When comparing it to other Irish pubs in Guelph, I'd put it near the bottom.Besides, it feels more like a sports bar with green menus than an Irish pub.

Been here a few times since it opened. Wings are great, burgers are decent too. Great place to watch sports, nice in the summer when the doors are open (they have large garage-type doors), grab a beer and decent food (not execptional but decent). Prices are reasonable, portions good, and service for us has always been good.

I got Wings with their BBQ sauce, nachos and potato skins. The nachos and potato skins were alright (nothing to write about), but the wings were amazing. They were probably the best I've ever had.

I'll definitely go back there again.

We as a group decided to show our friends some of the local bars on Saturday evening, September 27th, 2008 - we had a group in from Australia and they were very excited about a visit to this iRISH pub. Long story short - while waiting for the enitre group to arrive one of the ladies in the group was harrassed about taking money from the bar and she had not left the table or even had a drink. The bar tenders were absurb and could not be reasoned with. There was no evidence and no common sense used. It was an utterly embarrassing experience and a disgrace. Not only were we embarrassed but they continued to go through the bar and evict all blonde women without any rationale and were making obsence comments and acqusations. The best part was that they would not let any of these ladies back into the bar to collect their personal belongings ( which included coats, purses and cell phones). What would you think. Return - not on your life. Recommend - absolutley never. Happy - I guess you can tell. A DISASTER and shameful way to provide any kind of customer service.

This is a very particular restaurant. I disliked it. The service is not very good what so ever. They need more waitresses, we attended on a wednesday night and it was packed and no one came to take our orders so we went to the bar to place them ourselves. I agree with the lady about the bouncer as well, we were all of age and got questioned more throughouly than ever before.

I wont be wasting my time again. Same crappy service as the other phony Irish pub across the street, apparently owned by the same guy? Same menu, same uniforms and above all else, the same absolutely ridiculousy bad service!!!! If I want an average meal (average at best) and want to be ignored, have no customer service, and want to eat with my hands (silverware is apparently optional, and good luck finding your server, even when not busy), I will stay at home. Dont go if you are in any kind of hurry.
