Kelseys

Arrrived at 6pm, order was taken at 6:45. Dinner did not arrive until 8:00. Sever never stopped to see if we wanted more drinks-just walked by, asked bus person to get our waitress-(Resturant was not busy) The person that brought our dinner was not our server (manager?) She did mutter something about the wait and ran off. We could have walked out nobody would have noticed.Went to cash to get bill, the same girl that served dinner was at the cash. When I mentioned the poor service & quality she said "I will speak to the server! Will not return! Will not recommend!.

First time visit to the kelseys in Guelph. Went around 9 pm. Lounge and bar areas weren't very busy, we decided to sit on the patio due to beautiful weather. Bartender sat us and said server would be right out.... WRONG. Took 15 minutes just for a drink order. then after she took the order the drinks came about 10 minutes after. We were ready to order but didnt have a chance because the server basically dropped the drinks on the table and ran back inside.. so we waited about 10 more minutes to order food. Not the normal service for a place like Kelseys, being a franchise restaurant. We had a philly cheese steak sandwich and a burger, food was good, what we expected for kelseys. After all said and done we did not leave until just after 11 o clock... 2 hours for a beer each and entrees... not impressed with the service. Tables seated inside after we had arrived had all ate and paid before we even finished our meals.. again terrible service.

We came at a busy time, so expected to wait. So we go to the bar, and the bartenders were asleep at the wheel. They didn't ask us if we wanted drinks, which is weird considering that's their jobs. I had to "interrupt" the bartenders to ask.

Other than that service OK. The food was quite good, pretty good steaks, and cold beer. So not a bad restaurant, but could be better, with better bartenders. The food is what you expect, enough food, cooked OK, and satisfactory for a bar / grill.

Another suggestion I would have is do something about the decor. We waited at the bar, which had cheap football jerseys on HANGERS. If you want a sports bar feel, at least order autographed jerseys (upper deck is good to buy), thowbacks, or good jerseys in FRAMES. I'm sorry but sports jerseys on hangers look cheap and amature.

Great steak well done and tender. Great atmosphere (sports bar/Grill). The waitress was very friendly. A nature show aabout monkeys was on the tv :) Also the portions were large and very filling

On a real ribs/ pulled pork sandwich kick lately. Looked forward to trying pulled pork at the new Kelsey's in Guelph, as it's often not on restaurant menus. Very disappointed - almost all sauce & VERY little pork (maybe one solid bite in all of sandwich). Taste not bad but soggy. Not nearly as good as meaty pulled pork at Crabby Joe's - can't wait till they open soon in Guelph (honest, I don't work or know anyone who works at CJs). Soup was very good/ Pepsi flat and warm. Gave constructive criticism to bartender/waiter - said it was just standard Kelsey's recipe - but this is ~$3 more than Crabby Joe's with similar sides. Took 25% off bill but felt he could have offered better for a meal and drink I couldn't finish. Would try restaurant again as I don't think I've had a bad experience at any other Kelsey's. Just won't order pulled pork here again. On another note for the bartender - please don't change the channels on all the TVs and the music every couple of minutes - you're not the only one watchin and listenin. I hope you take all this as constructive criticism for what should be a successful business. New restaurant looked great btw.

We have eaten at Guelph Kelseys many times and the food is great, service wonderful and friendly, no dissappointments here just good food and great service and a welcome addition to north end of Guelph...

Both times my husband and i ate there the food was nothing special. No pizazz my husbands steak was rare when he asked for it med well when we let the server know he was very accomadating and offered us a free desert. All in all the meal was average+

Have gone there twice and both times the food has been excellent.BUT what really made the difference was the staff who are polite and very attentive and helpful.
