All the food there just sucks! disgusting frozen fish, mosquitoes in 2 of the dishes! the floor was gross and greasy! Miso soup tastes like crap! Don't mention the other food, just the sushi and rolls are the worst i've ever had!
Also, i couldn't even understand their tipping policy, i've been told to give the tips directly to the waitress coz they have the really shady tipping policy, and i did so too. However, while she got the tips from me, her boss grabbed the tips and put them back to the cashier!
i'll never come back to this disgusting restaurant only if im nuts!

The food was ok. I say ok because, let's be honest, it's a buffet-style restaurant. All-you-can-eat equates to lower food quality. It was adequate.
What really turned me off was the mayo used. THEY USE TOO MUCH OF IT! It was fairly unappetizing to be frank - especially in the various sushi rolls and sushi pizza.

Service was fairly good. The order-style was new to me, so I had a little trouble at first; a waitress gladly helped me out. That was nice. As well, the waitresses stopped by frequently to ask if I needed anything.
Food took a little bit to get to me, but I was preoccupied eating to notice it much.
A waitress even asked me if I wanted dessert when I was finished my meal. Very pleasant service.
I am however a little curious regarding the somewhat shady tipping receiving methods..? I offered a tip to the waitresses whom served me at the paying counter and was told that the tips were 'shared' by everyone. The clerk then went on to put the tip I offered into the cash register -.-.. I wouldn't be surprised if they are not to receive anything.
If you are going to tip, BE SURE TO GIVE IT TO THE WAITRESSES FIRST-HAND!

The store had a somewhat Japanese atmosphere. There were many traditional Japanese decorations here and there, and the servers had to dress in something which seemed Japanese.
Despite this, it was just too loud and crowded. I couldn't enjoy my food because of all the noise around me. Quite annoying.

I'm not sure if I will go there again. The sushi was quite sub-par and tip methods shady..
If I am down and feel like stuffing my face in, though, I will probably stop by again. ^^

I absolutely love this place. I think Fuji is the best in Guelph. I've always went to Kitchener to get sushi but now I have a place to go that's 5 min away from my house. The sushi was prepared fresh and well prepared. The service was kind of slow. I went by myself and the waitress did the average job, but never bothered to ask how the food was or even give me a second round of order sheet. Other than that, loved the food!

I've eaten a LOT of sushi over the years and Fuji is our favorite place to go. We take our kids with us and they love the food as well (at 4 and 6 I'll take them anywhere they will actually eat). The selection is awesome, the service is wonderful, and the food is certainly some of the best I've had at an all-you-can-eat place.
That's a point worth mentioning, it IS an all-you-can-eat establishment, so I think it's foolish for people to complain about the price or about the food not being on par with a fine dining restaurant. Fuji does exceptionally well for being the type of restaurant it is. Going there and expecting something super fancy is like going into McDonald's and ordering prime rib. Give your head a shake.
It will remain our top choice for sushi in Guelph, and we will continue to dine there weekly along with our friends.

Be careful eating here. The white tuna roll contained bones, one was quite large. Also, one of the fish on the rainbow roll had bones in it to. We were quite disappointed. They had different rolls than we had seen before and having a description of what the rolls contained would have been useful. On our second order we stayed away from the fish and were not blown away by the california or cucumber rolls we ordered. Sushi (rice with fish piece) was not bad, and you got a good quantity of fish. Service was about par of what other all you can eat sushi restaurants are like. Place smelt like sulfur when we first added, not sure if thats something they put in the food or if they had a gas leak. Will not return.

I love this restaurant. While the service is slow and questionable at times I couldn't really care less because the food is delicious and comes hot. Anything salmon is tasty as heck. and the seaweed salad is delicious.
my only complaint is that they could make their 'spicy' dishes a bit more spicy. Otherwise - it's a very good place to go for sushi if you don't mind the average decoration and average service.

I am a sushi and japanese-style foods but at this all-you-can-eat, I have never been without feeling like I'm compromising quality and taste for money. As a student, my friends often request that we go to Fuji for economical reasons but I think that the next time I will have to decline. The miso was absolutely terrible the last two times; no flavour and much too salty. The unagi roll I had the last time was overdone, chewy, and had too much rice to fish. I ordered a platter of sashimi with wasabi and the wasabi was dried up and very clearly old and refrigerated (that was really disconcerting and I let the rest of the table eat most of it).
The service is bare minimum just so long as you get used to meeting the servers half-way and signaling whenever something is needed. However, I have known some all-you-can-eat restaurants to have strange policies when it comes to tipping so I asked my waiter if he got to keep tips and he said he didn't! To make sure I understood him, I asked him when I paid if he would be able to keep my tip or a portion of it if I tipped and he said he didn't. It may have been a miscommunication, but he seemed to understand me during the entirety of my meal and I don't see much of a motive for him to have not been honest about it.Overall, not a place where my money belongs.

This was my first time having sushi and I must say I am craving it again already. I found the vegetable tempura to be quite greasy and therefore hard to eact with chopsticks but it was good. The vegetarian platter was amazing and the tempura yam sushi was my favourite. Our server was very attentive.
