If you want M&Ms food served in a restaurant this is the place to go.
Service was friendly and the place is a bit dowdy - well suited to the over 60 Walmart set.
Portions are generous but the quality simply isn't there. To the chef: if the tomatoes are white, you're better off not serving them, don't serve the core of the iceberg lettuce and trim the fat off the pork before cooking it.

My friends and I have been here several times for lunch and it is always delicious! We get the lunch chicken souvlakies and the lunch plate spanikopita, and let me tell you, there chicken is always juicy and full of flavour!
Personally, I love their decor. It took me by surprise on my first visit as it was nothing like how I had imagined just by looking from the outside, but it was a very pleasant surprise.
Overall it is my favourite restaurant to go for lunch...since I never been there for dinner. - Order: lunch chicken souvlaki plates, lunch spanikopita plate

I went here for valentine's day after reading the reviews on here, and I was not led astray. While the clientelle is older due to its location, the food itself is superb. I don't view myself to be a food expert in any way, but if you're looking for a good meal, Adonia won't disappoint.
The decor is a little overbearing in that it makes the space of the restaurant seem small, but I suppose you could argue it makes it cozy. It may be a little over the top, but it never seems distasteful. The space is full of paintings, greek statues, plants, lights and hanging fabrics.
We were met by our server who seemed a little nervous at first, but that wore off. She lit a candle for us and told us about the specials, seafood stuffed salmon and lamb steak. The girlfriend chose stuffed sole from the menu, and I opted for the salmon after reading the enticing description of the sole on the menu. We also ordered an appetizer, tzatziki and pita bread.
Our drinks and appetizer took a while to arrive, but my appetizer came with my caesar salad that was included with the special. The moderate wait was worth it. The tztatziki was very bright and with a nice kick, and the pita bread was very warm and fresh, perfectly made with garlic. As someone who tends to frequent steakhouse-type restaurants, the caesar salad was the best I've had and the girlfriend agreed.
Our entrees arrived, and when they did I instant;y knew I had made a good choice. The salmon was served with sauteed vegetables, rice, potatoes and a skewer of 6 shrimp. The fish had a very nice creamy sauce over it. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the portions were generous.
If you're looking for something new in Guelph, check out Adonia.

I've been here several times. Generally, the food is very good, not spectacular but great value. Sometimes it is very very good. You will occaisionally get average food but the service has always been great. Even ***** star retaurants miss the mark sometimes. Adonia is unpretentious. Decor is a bit dated by experience is always good

me and my friends all went out to have dinner, and we all decided to go to adonia, i've heard many great things about this place and i was very pleased to say that once i got there had my dinner and when it was time to leave i felt exceptionally satisfied. the food from the seafood pasta and the chicken was just outstanding- hats of to the chef. the one problem i did have with it though was it was just a little bit crowded - i dont do well in crowds so next time i plan to go on a monday night when its less busy

Full of seniors from nearby home. Seemed to cater to them. Place is outdated and overpriced. Not a patch on the greek garden. The servers try hard but have no panache. left feeling underwhelmed.

We decided to try out Adonia and were unfortunately dissapointed. The food was definately not a stand out, the service very average and the decor was very out dated. I've been to the other Greek restaurant in town many times and must say i prefer it greatly!

This is certainly a greek restaurant and we went there because
there are a huge amount of 10- 10 - 10 s on this site.Souvlaki was an 8, Veal was a 4, and fish was a 5. People are nice that serve you, and you get the impression they try hard, but it is not outstanding. In fact if you didn't know they
were trying hard service would be a 2. On average the place is
just that..... Average. We might be back. It was not
a total writeoff.But don't come here expecting a 10 - 10 - 10, because this place
is nothing like that. Average, decent Greek Food, and nice people that are trying, all that is true. - Order: Pork Souvlaki, Veal parmigiana coffee and desert
