Chinese foods in this restaurant is the best you ever find in Georgetown and surrounding areas. Those who have not tasted the foods in this restaurant, do not know what they have missed. Some of this restaurant specialty foods are Szechuan Beef, Lemon Chicken and Chicken Ball which are my favorite dishes. The thickness of the Beef is extra ordinary thick and juicy if you compare it with other Chinese restaurants. Lemon Chicken and Chicken Ball are homemade and taste really good and delicious. Also, the food portion is really big for one person.
Waiters and waiteress in this restaurant are friendly. They always try their best to accomodate your custom make order.
My friends and neighbours are never tired of eating in this restaurant. Try the foods for yourself and you will see what I mean!!!.

This is one of my favourite restaurants!! My family has been going there since it first opened about 30 years ago... The decor is still the same and could use an update, which is probably why it looks "dirty" to some people. However, the food is just as great as it was! In fact, the menu and chefs are the same ones from the beginning. The new owner seems to be very caring, he just does not speak English very well and for some reason people get angry with that. I think for what the owner was given, outdated decor and all, they keep the place clean and that smell (previous reviews) is probably just Chinese food lol.
To clear up the "fish tank pebbles in food" and "owner re-using containers from garbage"... The Kitchen is far from the dining area, you can barely see in to it. The fish tank is in the front foyer, far from there. And the Garbage is no where to be seen. It doesn't make sense.
My family has not had a bad experience there in 30 years, old or new owners... I would recommend this place to anyone who likes good, fresh food!

The food is great and the service very good too, look past the outdated decor. Great big portions but all very well cooked and tasty, not that artificial & salty taste you get in some chinese restaurants. We took enough home for 2 lunches the next day.
All in all a great local chinese. - Order: wanton soup, hot & sour soup, beef with ginger & green onion, lemon chicken, singapore vermicelli noodles, egg rolls.

I eat here regularly, and wanted to leave a review to say that the food and service here are great! They serve a variety of "Canadian Chinese" food such as chicken balls and lemon chicken, but if you look a bit deeper into the menu, there are also a lot of authentic Szechuan and Cantonese style dishes that are also delicious. My favourite is the eggplant with braised tofu in black bean sauce. There are also quite a few things not listed on their menu that they serve - if you are looking for something new, try the Ho Fun noodles with beef and black bean sauce - absolutely delicious!
The servers are always willing to help accommodate you, and will try to make pretty much any substitution or alteration you want - all you have to do is ask! Pretty much everything here is fresh and cooked to order. They even make their own chicken balls, egg rolls and spring rolls.
There have been a few negative reviews posted on different sites, with some completely false statements, that have motivated me to post this review. For one, someone said that there was a rock from a fish tank in their food - but if you've ever been inside the restaurant, you would know that there aren't even any pebbles in the fish tank! I can only assume that these reviews are some sort of smear campaign from one of the many other Chinese restaurants in town. I have never had bad service or bad food from this place over the last year and half, and have always been treated courteously, and the waiters here are extremely polite and caring. If they ever do miss something on your take-out order, they are always willing to come deliver it to you, or give you a free credit on your next order.
All in all this is a great place to eat. The inside décor is a bit outdated, but it's still great to go to with family or friends. And for take-out it is absolutely delicious, and not overly expensive. Dishes average about $10, and at one dish per person eating, it is very reasonable.
- Order: General tao, salt and spice spare ribs, pan-fried dumplings, szechuan eggplant and tofu

The Peking Spare Ribs, half of bone and the rest was tough meat, this never happened when the original owner ran the place. The house rice was no where close to what we usually got and the Spring Rolls were so so, but they used to have something in them, not any more. We used to go there every couple of weeks, I phoned the owner the next day and told him what I thought and all he could say was good bye. It used to be 5 stars, now I would have difficulty giving it any

Food is always good and portion size is very generous, don't notice any changes in the last 10 years. They might want to change the menu once and a while, add something new.
Of concern on the last two visits was the unpleasant odor in the lobby and around the cash area. Someone else mentioned the odor problem also. Don't feel like eating in there, decor needs updating.
- Order: lemon chicken, spicy beef and black been, buddha delight vegetables
