Furlongs Bar & Grill

We were not headed here, I have to say, but the place we were going is not open for lunch. What a nice little bar. Our taco salad was one of the best we've ever tasted (we split it as it was large). The Mexican potatoe skins could have been hotter (warmer) but they were tasty. Not sure of the brand of red wine but it was very good. We were pleasantly surprised and will return next time we're in Fort Erie for lunch. Oh, the server was very efficient and friendly, had the place to herself and did a great job.

It was great, Furlongs is definately our new hang out. Best Fish and Chips in the Niagara Region.

I would like to reply to Eric James - From one host to another I consider your comments a cheap shot - where is it exactly that you host karaoke? I would like to come out sometime & observe your setup. Unfortunately, I was not wotking with Pam the night of your visit as I started with her in April. For your information the system she uses is not your typical "Karaoke System" - all of the equipment (except for the high end karaoke mach & TV) is her husbands professional music equip. including the mics. As for the cost of the mic you refer to, new, that would run close to $200. I can't imagine you use mics of that quality with the chance of someone who's had one too many coming up and swinging it around like they're in a rodeo! Not to say the mics aren't good quality though - but, if you can sing, you should be able to sing into anything. As for the "mixer" there has always been one included in her system - I can't say how it was operated by the lady prior but, I would like to invite you out again...because I do my absolute best to make the people singing sound their best & I am offended by your comments. By the way, it's karaoke - good fun - not a recording studio.

I love Furlongs, the environment is great and the food is really good. The only problem is that the last 4 times I have been there (I got at least once a week) my order has been messed up in someway. And I was charged for THEIR mistake, and was charged for food that I didnt even eat! (Because they did not prepare it right)

As a Karaoke host, my group and I visit other karaoke venues to sing at though rarely write any reviews. This place however, deserves one since "Ashley Artt" reviewed this place and said;
"This is one of my favourite places to go"
Okay so the karaoke isn't all that great. The host needs to buy a different microphone for the public to use instead of that cheap whatever it was she was using when we where there. As one host to another I would recommend a Shure M58 which aren't that expensive. Oh yes, and get a small mixing board too. Overall rating for karaoke there 4 out of 10 (needs work people!)

Whenever I go out to Furlongs with my boyfriend we usually have a bite to eat or even a few drinks! The staff is very friendly and food is excellent! I usually attend the Friday night Karaoke and other nights with band apperances!This is one of my favourite places to go.. and many others I know feel the same way!!There isnt many places around town to go to this is one I usually pick!

My friend turned to go out to the bar area to eat dinner and she fell in the dining area and no one came to her aid. She cut herself on the arm and hand and bruised her knee, but we were worried about the cut, and no one came to her aid, until I finally took her to the bathroom so I could wash the cut and try to take care of her. This was disgraceful.

The reason I will not go again or recommend any of my friends or clients is simple. They charge 1.50 to use the debit machine. Not even a warning of it. We eat out most days of the year and I have never seen more than a 25 cent charge and 90% don't charge anything. We use debits cards for everything and a lot of people do so beware, those who do in Fort Erie
