Yellow Cup Cafe

I decided to pay a visit to the yellow cup café with a party of 3. When I first walked in I thought the décor was nice, and seemed like a nice place to eat. However, my opinion quickly went down the drain.

There was no person there that told us that we had to line up to order, there were people standing around with their food in hand looking for a place to sit. Some people placed coats over chairs reserving an entire table of 4 people for just 2 of them while the place was overcrowded.

The ordering experience was not pleasant. The lady behind the counter ignored us for at least 4 minutes while we stood there. After placing our order, we paid and stood around in the restaurant for approximately 15 minutes before we could find a seat. It was completely ridiculous.

Once we found a seat, eventually someone came by and slapped our food on the table and we never heard from them again. The service in this restaurant was completely non-existent.

The food was average over all and nothing special.

I would definitely not go back there again.

Was pleasantly surprised by this place.

Food: breakfast was better than you'd expect from a small cafe like place. Not too heavy and portion sizes are modest (a plus in my book). Coffee was hit or miss, but you can take as much as you want from a selection of 5-6. I really liked the fajita wrap breakfast and potatoes.. the wrap by itself might be too little on its own, though (comes with: .... nothing!)

Service was what I expected from a cafe, and atmosphere was nice/bright .. the tables could be a tad larger. They have couch-chairs and low+wide coffee tables to it seems like it would be a good place to lounge with a small group.

If you like yellow and happy faces this is the place to go. This is a great place to go on a coffee date...instead of a Star Smucks, or Tim Hortons...it is a great little coffee shop with a homey, relaxed style.
My now wife and I used to go here often, and sometimes go back for a brew when we can.
Great little place to have a change in the usual coffee venue routine!

After recently moving into the area I was delighted to find a place that was open to grab a coffee and bagel before heading off to work. The coffee is good and the bagels are fresh and still hot if delivered on time. My major complaint is the ignorance and rudeness of the staff. All the women there are RUDE and should not be waiting on the public. Even though it is a self serve coffee bar - the condiments of milk or cream should be accessible, but if you have to ask for them the staff get rather "huffy" - big sighs and rolling of the eyes, then proceed to hand you the items or place them rather loudly on the counter. I witnessed something this morning that will prevent me from coming back . One of the ladies was filling the bins of bagels with bare hands and no gloves, nor was she using the tongs that were right in front of her. All the bagels were being handled with bare hands. Above anything else is the RUDENESS and IGNORANCE of the staff. As much as I enjoy my coffee
I will no longer be a customer of the Yellow Cup Cafe, I'll wait and grab my coffee closer to work.

The food is sub-par. I orderd a Turky wrap. After waiting 15 minutes for my order to be filled (I had time to wander next door and make a purchase at a varity store and return with my food still not prepared) I finally recieved the food. It was a horribly small portion (smaller than Select, Cultures, SubWay) and the side of potato chips was stale. I would certainly hope the cost of $6.20 for this item would present its value somewhere but the portion, quality, and service had fallen horrible short. I have never reviewed anything online before, but after my experience at this resturant I have been compelled to do so.

I love breakfast and finally I was able to find a place that not only serves it all day but the variety and quality are really good. Not to mention the atmosphere which is amazing. My friends and I are there at least one a week indulging. My favorite is still the classic breakfast special where I get my coffee or tea for free.

ATMOSTPHERE IS NICE, AND THE FOOD IS GOOD. i HAVE BEEN THERE A FEW TIMES NOW BUT HAVE NEVER BEEN IMPRESSED WITH THE STAFF. THEY ARE NOT TOO FRIENDLY EITHER THEY RUSH YOU WITH YOUR ORDER OR THEY IGNORE YOU. I WORK IN THE AREA AND WOULD FREQUENT IT MORE OFTEN, BUT THEN I THINK ABOUT THE SERVICE AND I AVOID IT. DOESN'T MAKE FOR A PLEASANT LUNCH. IT IS TOO BAD BECAUSE AS A PLACE TO EAT IT IS PRETTY GOOD.

Very nice atmosphere, there is so much to look at decor-wise.. once in a while you can get a free coffee/tea with a crepe, which is great. They have some fancy teas and I'm a sucker for those.
Crepes are quite delicious! Quite large as well, and they certainly put in a lot of stuff.
Service, on the other hand, could be better. Some are really friendly, while others stand around talking in Ukrainian and not acknowledging the customers. There was some confusion with regards to ordering - apparently I ordered with the wrong person because my crepe never came. I went to ask for it as 30mins went by, and no one realized I placed and order (and paid). They didn't seem too apologetic.

I was ordering a Ceasar sallad with chicken today and a was surprised "It was the best Ceasar sallad that I have eating in the hole world"
I have try most of the food at Yellow Cup Cafe and everything is tasting DELICIOUS.
The stuff is very nice and friendly
