Southside Johnny's Bar & Grill

I've been going here on Sunday nights to eat & watch some musicians jam. It has just gotten worse with the talent that thinks it can perform. The hostess should spend more time actually singing and not allow bad singers to do any more than one or maybe 2 songs.
But when your having dinner & having to tolerate garbage on stage.....That's bad. Plus...the stage looks like a $5 Christmas wrapping. and the stage lights...? What's with the lights pointing down to the feet. The performers are in the dark.
The food is OK...not great but I noticed they are looking for a new cook....Maybe that will improve soon?

Great food!! Great Bands!! Good people except for this crack hoe who chased me around the bar and tried to stick her tongue down my throat.. other then that everthing was Kool with a K...Hollywood style

Johnny offers you "the best wings in town" as well as his beef ribs and his Mom makes "the best Greek salad" I've ever had, top that off with EXCELLENT entertainment, who can ask for anything more? other than better service (which I must say out of the 4 yrs we've been going to Southsides this experience was a first).

A very friendly place...Jeannine the bartender is the best. I walk down there from the West Mall & Bloor all the time.

The service was exceptional. Management handled a few "rowdies" very professionally. And, the icing on the cake, all the women were given pink roses by Johnny! What a gentleman! Heat could have been turned up a bit... I was cold the whole evening.

On Friday September 14,2007, David Rotundo will be on stage at Southside Johnny's. If you have heard him play then you know that he is one of, if not the BEST harmonica player in town. His band is also first rate. At some point he is going to be too big to play the smaller rooms, so if you haven't seen him live do yourself a favour and get yourself down to johnny's this Friday night. The downbeat is at 10:00 p.m. approximately. See you there.

This is a nice little neighbourhood bar with food specials that change every day. They also have a reasonably extensive menu that Johnny is always looking for new ways to improve and update on. Their beef ribs in particular are first-rate. Meaty, huge, and emminently reasonably priced.This Bar is also a great late night spot as the kitchen is generally open until 11:30-12:00.
From Thursday to Sunday they also have live entertainment from 10:00 until closing.
If you are looking for a good home-style meal, or a place to dance and party this place is definitely worth a visit.
