I tried this place for the first time in September and have been back several times since. The burger is always cooked to perfection, tastes like real beef and it's nice that you can pick and chose your toppings. Love the fries as well!
Service is always good, friendly staff.

This is a greasy burger joint, plain and simple. They are open late, and in an easy access location, meaning that the next time I'm drunk, I'll be heading back there. Frankly, a Whopper has better taste than their burger, but their greasy onion rings are decent.
- Order: Onion rings, Apache burger.

Everyone told me to go here...So after 20 years driving by, finally did. I had high expectations. I have been searching for the best cheeseburgers in the GTA. I have read many reviews for Apache, all good.
I found the burger to be very average. What's the big deal? Honestly, that's all I tried, no fries or anything else. But to me, that is the most important item. The burger was good, nothing wrong at all, but it was on the thin side, not char-broiled with blackened stripes, not really juicy, just average. I did notice the buns, which were fresh and soft, without dumb sesame seeds. The young fellow cook was OK, prepped the burger perfectly.
I am sure the place has all kinds of other foods that are great, but when it comes down to the famous burger, I think it is over-rated by a lot. Maybe such a big reputation since it is such an institution, landmark everyone loves and remembers, sentimentality?

Great if you're looking for one heck of a lot of calories and lots of fat :) Seriously, this is the burger you want to have when you cheat on your diet -- you won't be sorry. And you won't need more than 1.
They also have the best fries I've tasted (so far...) in Etobicoke. The BBQ sauce for the burger's awesome too. The grape juice drink is really good -- it's not powdered. Great for a sugar craving!
Edit: I tried their poutine recently.. and I have to say, it's awesome. They don't use curd cheese though, which is blasphemy, but still..great sauce with excellent fries. As a Montrealer I find it quite hard to find even a decent poutine in Toronto.. it's not that they don't exist, it's just that there are many who serve it just to say it's on the menu. This one is actually worth buying.
Problem with this place is that they don't have any combo meals or specials.. so as soon as you start adding things to your meal it gets expensive fast. Just a regular no-frills burger with fries and a drink will easily cost you 10$. If it's a better burger and a poutine think 13$+ ... so sometimes it's worth it just to go for the take-out burger and make the rest at home.

Apache is a institution in Etobicoke and the reason is their burgers. Real Cheddar Cheese on their burgers...fresh meat not frozen and good bread adds up to a great burger.

If you grew up in Etobicoke, odds are pretty good you spent time hanging out at Apache, the local burger joint for as long as I can remember--and my memory goes back to the 60s.
Nothing fancy here, just burgers, fires, and onion rings, and a few forgettables they added to the menu over the years.
Growing up, the rings were the stars, along with one of the very few malted shakes still to be found in T.O. Great place to satisfy teenage munchies.
My more discriminating adult palate wishes the burgers, fries and rings were fresh rather than frozen, but for bringing back memories, the place can't be beat.
The staff have all been there forever and the service is brisk and professional. They aren't chatty, but they acknowledge the customers they know with a subtle nod and smile.
The decor is an attempt at retro 50s diner. It's okay, but doesn't connect with the name. No attempt at a Native American motif to reference the Apache name.
- Order: Cheesburger, rings.
