  • My wife and I visited on a Thursday morning around 9:30 and there was only one seat available--most were being used by people holding business meetings. Food tasted OK, one order of home fries had enough grease to fill a deep fryer as did the omelet. We asked for sweetener, but after 5 minutes we had to go get it ourselves. NO DEBIT MACHINE but did not bother to have a sign up saying so.

  • It took the waitress about 20 minutes after we were seated to take a drink order. She brought coffee, but not water (which we asked for), and I had to request apple juice three times, until she finally brought it during the meal itself. When the food came, she said the toast would be up right away. About 15 minutes later, a fellow in the kitchen yelled (perhaps he thought the restaurant was empty), "Hey, whose toast is this?", and I told the waitress it was mine. She then brought me some brown toast (I had ordered white). It was not very busy, but she was very rude to us - though, not surprisingly, she was much friendlier when presenting us with the bill. The home fries were far too salty - My partner speculated that they were cooked in some sort of batter. Much of the batter, unfortunately, was uncooked, and biting into a lump of raw batter, expecting it to be a potato, is not pleasant. Everything else was bearable, except for the location. This marks the last time I trek from the city to the suburbs in search of a decent breakfast experience. Depending on your preference, there's better to be had downtown - At any rate, they're a lot nicer there (perhaps because they need the business?).

  • The food was great. Fast and obviously fresh. The hashbrowns are what we call mystery potatoes as you never know what type of meat you will find in them, which is ok when you are a meet eater. Not so great when you are a vegitarian. There is often a line up for a table, but it is worth the wait. The blueberry pancakes on weekends are amazing. This place is open 530 till 2 pm most days. Lunch is very good as well. Portions are large at both meals.

  • My husband and I love this place and make sure we come everytime we visit our daughter who lives in Dundas. We are big breakfast people and have found this to be the best place to go for the last four years.
Food and service excellent. Get there early on week-ends or you will have to wait.

  • The best breakfast joint in all of Dundas, Hamilton and Ancaster. Whenever I have freinds from out of town, I always bring them to try this place. I try to come here every other week as the service is great, the food is awesome and the prices are reasonable. The best part about Tammy's is the atmosphere...it's small, friendly and excellent food.

  • Amazing little place. We and my family went there for breakfast because we heard it was good. We weren't disappointed. Everything was homestyle. Food was fresh and tasty. Staff was friendly. Great place to go for breakfast as a family.

  • We've been going to Tammy's Place for 5 years or more as we live in Dundas. The staff are very friendly and recognize us as "regulars". When there are lineups, they often offer coffee (free?) to those waiting. While not a huge fan of the spice used in the homefries, they are very good (and real - not deep fried "things" from a freezer bag). Eggs and bacon are nice, and the omlettes are huge. It's not a large place, and there can be lineups at prime time (after church hours on sundays for example), but I feel it's worth the wait. A great little home town restaurant! FYI, I believe they are only a breakfast and lunch place.

  • Order: bacon and eggs, cheese omlette, blueberry pancakes
