Cootes Paradise Bar & Bistro

Very pleasant experience. Great food, warm atmoshpere, our waiter was prompt and very entertaining also. Will be back with friends!

Visited with my husband and another couple. First time to this restaurant and we immediately liked the ambiance and the service. It was a busy night, we didn't have reservations but they quickly set up a table rather than have us wait a half hour. The food was very good with the exception of the trout which I ordered. I usually have trout grilled but this seemed to be steamed and was different to any trout dish I had in the past. They assured me this was the correct recipe but I just didn't like it. They were very professional and offered anything else on the menu. This was the only glitch in the evening. They had a very good jazz group playing from about 8.30 pm which added to the atmosphere. Overall I would say a great little bistro which fills a niche in Dundas. I am planning a revisit with some girlfriends.

Max is great. Food is great, service superb, ambience warm and friendly. I live nearby and take all my visitors to Max's place.

I happend to see this very very funny chef, "Max", he is absolutely awesome. Food was very delicious and service very good too on a very busy eve. Owners personally care about you and want to know you and they value your opinion. This is my FAVOURITE PLACE NOW IN DUNDAS to eat and relax.

This place is under new owner/operators that have a real interest in its success. They are -very- welcoming, prompt, and friendly.

The food is fine, though I think they are trying to maximize profit. The menu is all carbohydrate-based, and the shrimp in my pasta still had the tails on, like they were from a shrimp-ring. The portions are huge, tasty, and the atmosphere is lovely down to the music.

I would recommend it highly to anyone wanting a nice evening out where you plan on talking and drinking, as well as eating.

Absolutely horrible food! Absolutely horrible service. Would not visit again if they PAID me to do so!
