Thames-Lea Restaurant & Tavern

This place is amazing and by far the best restaurant in Chatham-Kent. With owners that have been there for 40 years, you know that they are doing something right. The atmosphere is great. I sat in the back with my buddy and we watched some TV while having dinner and it was great....

Great Food, Great Fun....All Smiles All the Time.....Its good to know a family owned restaurant still exists where food isn't just something on the menu, it's prepared by Chatham's Finest

The food is always good here and generous portions. It is one of Chatham's original pizza houses and they continue to make GREAT pizza at a good price. I have eaten here several times, all good to great experiences.
Their salad bar is a one time visit limit, and that's understandable, so load up when you go!
Service - staff is friendly, efficient; the owner is usually there on the floor or working the cash. If anything, some of the restaurant's tables came be anchored better to the floor (some wobble), and of the vinyl booths need resurfacing, but nothing major. The food is the thing here.

We had a great lunch at the Thames Lea Restaurant. Huge portion and fresh roasted turkey and beef on our sandwiches. The gravy is homemade and amazing!

I was dying for some hot, gooey poutine and had the best one ever at the Thames Lea. Huge portion and great fries..yummy gravy!

Best breakfast in town. Boxing day was busy at the Thames Lea and we had a great service and awesome food. Have been back many times since and not been disappointed!

Best Pizza in town...loved it. Got it delivered and it came piping hot!

This place is just phenomenal
I'm not going to bother going to Boston Pizza or Kelseys when Thames Lea is there. Much more affordable and no loud atmosphere that causes distraction

I'm bringing my kids back when there is another hockey tournament in town, and recommending it to other teams..

Great local Restaurant. Friendly service. I recommend. I hear they are one of the best places for Breakfast too. Will visit again.

My husband and I are new to the area but love trying local restaurants. We are so tired of chain restaurants and it is so refreshing to find great family-owned businesses. Thames Lea Restaurant is a gem.

Our server greeted us and sat us in big comfy booths and gave us a listing of some delicious and great priced specials and left us alone for a bit with a huge menu.

My husband is a Liver and Onion connisseur and ordered the Liver and Onions special and a large greek salad. He cleaned both plates and said that the Liver was the best he had ever had! The dressing on the greek salad was great too.

I had an Italian dinner complete with Fettucinni, garlic bread and ceasar salad. All great! The fettucinni sauce was obviously home made and delicious. Huge portions and great price.

We have found a great place to eat in Chatham. You should try it!
