Lucky In Restaurant & Tavern

We've been there a total of twice in our life time. We went in the 80's. We came back in the 200''s and the place hasn't changed! Dirty, smelly carpet odour and needs a clean bathroom and access without tripping on cases of beer. Never again!
My mother liked the fish and chips... even though its a chinese restaurant. Gosh!! someone call the authorities!

This is one of those places that would fit perfectly in a Zombie movie. The cooks are frozen in time, the staff is happy to see survivors have found them.

I grew up on Chinese American restaurants all over NYC, and I've eaten at 4 other Chinese places here in Chatham, and all I can say is, this is where you should go if every restaurant in town is condemned.

No offense but a chinese restaurant run by non-chinese people is not a good sign. Nor is the lack of asians eating in one. Okay so the asian populace isn't huge here, but we were 1 table of 4 tricked into occupying this place.

The rice was overcooked, the beef n broccoli was soupy, but at least their deep fryer works, hard to mess up chicken balls and spring rolls. The buffet if you can call it that was a sad remnant of road kill... wait no that's an insult to road kill.

I have no idea why people still go there, and am always amazed to see a single car in their drive way. I think to myself, well there's one more person in town who needs a reality check.

Kitchen Nightmares needs to come here to renovate the decor from 1977, the food from 1834, and the staff who again, I'm not too sure they were breathing. Young waitresses out of high school DO need jobs, but do yourself a favor girls, walk down the block and apply at the Maple Leaf Bakery.

The restaurant is a prime candidate for a makeover. It looks something from the 1970's..a lot of items don't even match.
It's a restauarnt to go and pig out...lots of starches, basic chinese items, nothing special. Bring your Rolaids.
Let's face it..once you've eaten at The Mandarian, places like these just don't stack up.

From outside you couldn't pay me enough to go in (and the interior decor is well let's say questionable) BUT ignore the look of the menu and TRUST ME as I trusted my friend!!! The most fresh vegetables I've had served and in huge portions! The waitress took awhile to serve me as my other party had eaten from the buffet, but this is one restaurant I'll be going back to. Don't judge the book by the cover is todays moto. Thanks Lucky

The LUCKY INN is the best CHINES BUFFET in chatham kent. I recamend this restaurent to every body.

Is this place a joke??
The place has so many different sections all with differnt lighting, chairs, tables.
The food is gross and overpriced.

The Luky In Restaurant & Tavern is the only place in Chatham I would consider taking family and new friends. The food is always great and the staff is always on the ball for top-ups and completed dish removal.

We have ordered from the Lucky Inn many times. One time they fooled up our order. This time they were way heavy on the mushrooms. :(
Other than that the food is particularly good. :)

btw, restaurantica, you say you cannot locate restaurants near the Lucky Inn. There is one in the parking lot pretty much and it is called Smittys Pancake House. And also Crabby Joes is down the road. Not that I would recommend them.
