Hurleys Den

Steak was not as requested. Med-rare was more to a med-well. Small portions, a lot of plate dressings that most people won't eat. We were squeezed into one of two rooms (weird setup). It was terrible crowded & dark. Seemed busy, but I truly don't know why. It wasn't worth the price to us. Service was slow, and poor!

This is a cozy little restaurant that is a favorite of several friends. It is small with only about with less than 10 tables on the dining side so I'd suggest reservations. They also have a bar and a meeting room in the rear.

The food was good, although my steak was a little too well done, but it wouldn't stop me from going back.

I'm an out-of-towner who was working in Chatham for a week, so I was dining alone. The ambience and decor is cozy and elegant, and the food was fantastic! A good selection of wines by the glass, too.

At first appearance, from the outside, Hurley's Den does not seem like much at all. But as with many things, one should not judge by outside apperances. The atmosphere and decor inside is quaint and cozy, making one feel immediatley relaxed and at home. The service was friendly and prompt. Our waitress answered all of our questions (and we had a few)about the varied menu and history of the resturant. Our food was a delight and pleasing both to the eye and stomach. It was definitely not your everyday fare. It was so nice to find a resturant in Chatham with a unique charm and very tasty menu. I definetly plan to celebrate more special occasions at Hurley's Den.
