Canton Restaurant & Tavern

I am a regular at Canton as well. (I think I have then on speed dial!)
I find that once you get to know the staff, they become more pleasent. I agree that it is the best Chinese restaurant in Chatham, however I usually opt for take out as I feel the restaurant is lacking in decor. With the reputation they have, a little updated decor can only make them better! I think that it's been the same since they opened (which has to be more then 20 years ago!)
I think the only chinese decoration in the entire restaurant is a small statue of a chinese warrior on the bar.
I recommend the food any day!

I am a Canton regular, and consider it the best Cantonese food in the area. Pleasant surroundings, excellent service. Try ordering a la carte: the Canton Special and all of the egg foo yungs are very good, the Har Lung Woo excellent with nice fat shrimp and well seasoned pork and black bean sauce. Our own signature dish is Soo Guy (deep fried chicken breast) with honey garlic sauce instead of gravy!

I have been coming to canton for years and this is the best resturant in Chatham for chinese food
