Axle Annie's Bar & Grill

We were in a party of around 11 people. There was only one waitress taking our orders, which didn't happen until almost an hour after everyone had arrived. The waitress lost the bill for at least one of the diners, and didn't even introduce herself to our table when taking orders!
The food leaves a lot to be desired. My chicken wrap at $9.00 was a joke with less than a breast of chicken in the entire wrap, and mayo spread to generously I couldn't eat it without getting my hands greasy, which is a major pet peeve.
My husband had a turkey sandwich, which he loved, but I would never have paid $9.00 for. I think this establishment it taking advantage that they are in a hotel, that is frequented by Americans willing to pay these outrageous prices.
Hopefully when the hotel is bought out, as they are looking for a new owner, the new company slaps some sense into the crew at Axle Annies.
I'd rather go to Glitters.

After waiting in line at the front door, rather than greeting our party, the manager simply stated "you're late" when we gave him our name for our reservation. (We waited at the door for over 5 minutes.) We then waited 40 minutes for drinks and over an hour and 15 minutes for our food, by which time (7:15pm) our daughter had fallen asleep. She did not eat her meal (no offer was made to take it off our bill) and no apologies were forthcoming from either the server or the manager, despite our complaints. For an establishment located in a hotel which caters to families, we expected more timely service and more polite staff. Dinner at Axle Annie's nearly ruined what was otherwise a lovely holiday at Wheel's Inn for our family and friends. We will not be returning and we will be sure to recommend that our friends and family go to the bowling alley for dinner instead (faster, better service!)

Beef Dip was excellent , fries where terrible, service is extremely good, just change the fries please!

I enjoyed my food and had enough to eat but my children (twins) who are ten where starving after there little plates of food. The waitress was wonderful but I had to order an plate of extra fries for my kids there should be a pre-teen meal selection.

Our waitress was delightful. I believe her name was Holly. She was very friendly and did a super job. I hope this was NOT the waitress to whom that other person who reviewed the restaurant was referring, because Holly went out of her way to make sure our drinks were always full and we had bread on the table. She was extremely accomodating. I hardly think it was the WAITRESS' fault the the air-conditioning was on too high. Axel Annie's is part of a HUGE complex and despite the fact the the air conditioning was too high, you should TIP YOUR WAITRESS!! This dude sounds like a cheap-o who would find ANY excuse to not tip. You tip based on the waitress' service, not the food or climate of the building (things over which the waitress has no control!)!!!

Great food as always. Very large portions, lots of flavour. Service was great. Only thing was $2 extra for the caesar salad, but tasted great non the less!

Love the clean atmosphere and management is there you can tell, because they are on top of things. Quick service, reasonable priced, not too loud with noise. Definately returning for lunch or dinner. I am a picky eater when it comes to food and picky about cleanliness and I would definately return here any time!!

Lonnie was great, he remembered who we were even after only vititing 2 times. The second time I must say was a real bummer. We were seated under the A/C and it seemed to be blasting at maximum capactiy. Our meals cooled off within minutes and we were forced to eat cold brunch. We has asked one of the waitresses if at all possible, even if just to turn the A/C down and not off. And they could not grant that request. So for the lack of service I refused to tip and the waitress who thought she did such a bang up job got offended and gave some smart mouth comment as I left. I just won't return if that's how customers are treated, Unless that's changed of course.

We went for dinner, and were greeted by their hostess "Lonnie" who was enthusiastic and friendly. Actually I think he is the manager but that is besides the point, he was really friendly. Food was great and really quick and not over priced for the amount of food you got. Clean place inside the Wheels Inn, we will definately be returning. It is nice Chatham has a restaurant like this.
