As usual the food is excellent but unfortunately also as usual the service is absolutely terrible. I have been going to this rest for years and I think they actually try to have terrible service as every time I go it seems to get worse. Meals take forever, they screw up orders regularly, they rarely come back to see if you need anything else, you are given dirty glasses and the worst part is they just don't care if you are happy or not. I have complained a few times and all you basically get is a blank stare, not even an apology. The food is excellent though and I would recommend the gyro (not at all healthy in any way but delicious). Hopefully the owners will smarten up and hire decent staff but I wouldn't count on it as they seem to care less then the staff do.

bring ear plugs. The noise level will cause hearing loss. Everything echo's in the building. You can not hear the person across the table from you. I had a sore throat from having to yell out so my waitress could hear my order.
The food is over, spiced, oiled.
very disappointed.
The waitress/waiter work there buns off !
over priced,
will not return because of the noise
We went on a Sat. night, The staff does rush you, in and out - Order: salad, combo plate, yuk

I was itching to try this place as we drove by it often. We didn't make a reservation (Friday night) but were very happy when we arrived we were seated right away. We asked our server for a wine recommendation and she did ok. The wine she chose wasn;t anything special, but we both enjoyed it. We were intrigued by the flaming cheese appetizer - but it was HUGE and greasy for only 2 of us. By the time our salads & entrees came we didn't put much of a dent in them! I had the Bouzouki platter - absolutely HUGE and I couldnt save the leftovers as our fridge reaked from it! My husband had a variety platter which he finished (minus the potatoes)
I only gave the atmosphere a 3 star because it was so big and LOUD! - Order: Saganaki OPA, Bouzouki platter, Sotiris platter

Horrible, horrible, horrible service. We tried their previous location in Aldershot and never went back due the appalling lack of service and thought that we would give them another chance at the new location on Harvester. Did not think that it could get any worse but it was. No greeting upon arrival and we had to practically beg for table service. Order was incorrect and items were forgotten. Server spent the majority of the time chatting and socializing with other staff rather than doing her job. Wake up Sotiris owners and hire some staff who actually KNOW what customer service is rather than relying on friends and relatives to work there. We will never go back to this restaurant and also plan to warn our friends about it as well.

This place is very nice. It's almost like a banquet hall, but with a nice relaxed atmosphere.
The service was attentive and friendly.
The food portions are quite large. I look forward to even more vegetarian options being offered.

A loyal customer for several years. Mind you, they need to get their act together about reservations. Twice in a row now, we have had to wait a good half hour before we're seated. They've always had poor organizational skills in this restaurant. Otherwise, the food is spot on every single time. The new location is lovely, very upscale.

i have been a loyal Sotiris client for many years. i'm very pleased with the new location as it's more central in burlington and larger to accomodate the crowds. the large central dining room is a little echo-y and sometimes it's hard to hear the other people at your table speak over the din. service was fast, as usual, and food scrumptious. they have recently added a new vegetarian option to the menu - the grilled vegetable dinner which is a skewer of zucchini, onion, mushroom and eggplant served with rice, potatoes, salad and tzatziki - totally delicious! portions are huge so there are always leftovers to take home for lunch the next day. the owner is always around to talk to the guests. it's nice to see a successful family-run restaurant in the area. i will continue to go again and again.

Came for a birthday lunch and was very impressed with the new location. Stunning room with a very upscale feel. I loved the water feature in the main dining room. It also looks as though they have a large private function room decked out with white table cloths. SO nice!
Food was exactly the same as always...tasty and ample sized portions. I was happy to see that despite all the esthetic upgrades the people at Sotiris are 'keeping it real' with their pricing unlike a lot of other Burlington restaurants where the marking up on menus and wine lists is becoming out of hand.
Only disappointment was that they were temporarily out of their baklava...
All in all it was very good and I will absolutely return!

Since we were dining with children we arrived before 5pm. We waited in the foyer for 5 mins. One waitress came to the front but did not greet or acknowledge us in any way. The owner finally approached us and seated us. Despite the restaurant being only half full at this hour, we were seated right in front of the door where we were hit with a cold chill every time the door opened.
After fifteen minutes of waiting at our table, the owner finally assigned a waitress to us (don't they have sections?). The waitress, although courteous and friendly, forgot our appetizers, messed up one dinner, neglected to bring requested condiments and overcharged us on the bill.
In her defence, she seemed to have tables to serve all over the restaurant and was clearly overwhelmed.
While the decor was nice, the restaurant clean and the food acceptable, we were left with a terrible impression of an understaffed establishment that doesn't care about great service. We won't return. - Order: Gyros, Pork Souvlaki, Saganaki
